The writing is amazing throughout this book. The author makes the characters come alive as you read it.
It's true that the main character, Richard, does not censor anything much but as we are learning of his world and life from his point of view I don't see why he would have to.
I loved following him through the book and seeing how he sees the world.
There are parts where you really just want to give him a good slap upside the head to knock a little more sense into him but that seems to make him more real. He acts and goes through life in a way that you would not be surprised to see someone like that in real life.
He's not the only one, the other characters have life in them too. Some more than others but you learn so much about each character that it's wonderful to keep reading.
I'd recommend this book to anyone willing to share in Richard's adventure.
It's a quick read and it grabs at you on the first few pages.

I haven't completely finished this book yet. I am most of the way through it and I do like and enjoy most of the stories but it is a very large collection and takes a whole to get through.
Sherlock Holmes is a joy to read and a collection like this is great to have since you can read it in spirts if you wish.
I gave it three stars because I find that the later stories are not as great or surprising as the earlier ones.
A good collection and a good read.

This was such a fun and entertaining read. Classic science fiction boss are so much more fun to read and this one is in that category.
It's plot is interesting and enjoyable and the way they thought about where technology was going is so much fun to read.
Definitely recommended.

Warning: there is reference to suicide in here and not just a little bit.
I was reading it and I know some people that it would have really triggered. It comes out of no where all at once so just be aware.

I could not finish this book.
The writing was okay but the characters didn't seem very believable, Max is a recovering alcoholic, his story seems more in depth then Sarah's did even though the author switches between the two point of views.
Max's experiences are believable up until he first starts following Sarah and then as he makes excuses for what he's doing he becomes less believable.
Sarah more so because she doesn't seem to really exist outside of Max or her therapist.
I stopped reading this because I came across a few things that just didn't fit with everything else we'd learned and seemed to be pasted in there for giggles.

The plot was interesting enough but I couldn't get into the characters at all and I need that in order to really get into a book.

An interesting read. At times it is boring but it doesn't go so far as to be slow.

Interesting

The concept of this book is pretty interesting. A kid dying and finding friends in the inbetween was a new way of looking at things.
Though the story had a lot of deeper ideas and feelings it was essentially about the main character's sister in the live world and if he can find a way to save her.
It was a fun read and the plot was very well written. The characters were wonderfully written and it was nice to learn about them and where they came from, given to us in a way that didn't distract from the main plot.

This was such a fun and entertaining and enlightening and interesting book to read.
I picked it up because of the fun I had watching the Netflix series, I have had it in my to read shelf for a while now and finally decided that I wanted to get to reading it.
It took me no time to get into this, it was so well written that you are right there with her from the first line to the last.
It is so much different then the series but in such a great way, it's very real and down to Earth. Everything she thinks and does and says is so human and endearing.
Her struggle of learning the ropes, finding friends, confidantes and people to really care for in prison really helped her to not only get through that year in prison but also to learn of herself and how she views the world. Having the people she did to support her was so helpful and it really opened my eyes to see who I have around me and realize that many of them are there for me in their own small ways.
I would recommend this to a lot of people and I already have, within the first few chapters I was already telling people they should read it and that holds true throughout the whole book.
The Netflix series brought me to this book and I am so grateful for that, it has shown me so much and gotten me to look at the world that surrounds me in so many different ways.
Highly recommended for all types of readers.

A very interesting read. There were many different stories and three sections each of which focused on one theme.
I liked quite a few of the stories, the first one really pulled you in which is what you really want in a collection and they stayed like that for a while.
There were only a few stories I did not enjoy but that was mostly because of the theme of them I'm not really interested in.
There was one that really was scary and I really really enjoyed it, I think it was my favorite in the collection.
The collection as a whole was amazing and had a lot of characters that you really got to love or hate even in such short stories.
