Delayed Call is the 11th book in the Assassins series, and though I have missed a few along the way, this did not affect my enjoyment of this book at all.

I am a sucker for a hockey book. I love a romance book. I love an enemies to lovers book. Throw them all in together and you get Delayed Call.

This book was so much more than just a hockey story. Vaughn and Brie's story is fill with love and hate, lust , sexual tension out the wazoo (and in it too!!).

And it is filled with heart.

There is so much emotion in this story, can't remember how many times I had a tear in my eye as I was reading.

I loved Vaughn's cockiness - I mean, really, what rich, goodlooking, famous guy wouldn't strut? But more than that, I adore the man he is behind that facade. The man sure will surprise you!

Brie - that woman! I freaking love her. Her bite, her snark, and her big, big heart. I like to think that she and I would be great friends.

I loved the snippets of the Assassins from the previous books. They add fun and laughter to the story, as well as a good dose of reality. I swear, it makes me want to move to Nashville just so I can be friends with them all.

It's a hard choice, but I really think that Delayed Call has become my favourite Assassins novel.

Now I am impatient for what Ms Aleo brings us next.

Have you made an appointment to meet Ethan Mason on 28th March 2017?

If you haven't you should!

Jenny Jackson needs a job. Ethan Mason is the jerk interviewing her.

Boy do the sparks fly between them. From their first meeting to the last, I couldn't get enough of this pair. The bite. The snark. The sexual tension between them is off the charts.

I loved the way they bounced of each other, how they brought the worst out in each other (yes, worst, not best lol). And how they can't ignore the attraction to each other.

Both Jenny and Ethan are likeable (though Jenny irked me a couple of times when things happened, but I got over that pretty quickly). The story is well written, well paced and kept me reading in one sitting.

There are great secondary characters, some who we will meet more of in the next book. And I can't wait.

Bossed has become the favourite of the Sloane Howell books I have read, and I can't wait for more.

It is always a bittersweet moment when a series comes to an end, but with the Heart Of The City series, Ms Duggan has certainly left the best till last.

Like the other leading ladies in the series, Kate is an Australian living and working abroad, experiencing life, and having a great old time... except she isn't.

Oh my goodness, I don't know what to think of Kate's nana, she is a bit of an old cow!

Kate's saving grace is her hot as hades neighbour (who she kind of hates!) Jack Baker. He is all kinds of sex in a suit, and he drives her bonkers!

Oh Jack - what is there not to love about Jack? From the cocky grin to the smart ar$se attitude, I couldn't help but succumb to the Jack Baker Effect.

Laughs and tears, and a whole lot of sexual tension, Jack and Kate are just adorable and sweet and sexy ... OK, I admit, I just want to be Kate1

I have never been to London, but through Ms Duggan's words I got a great sense of the vibe of the place. And have started saving my pennies to get over there and find my own Jack.

Ms Duggan drew me into the story through the easy flow of the story and her well paced writing. I am not much of a NA reader (since I am an old fart), however she is one writer that I will always pick up her stories.

It has been wonderful to be taken around the world with this series, and I look forward to what Ms Duggan brings us next.

I was left hanging with the Dirty Filthy Rich Boys novella (freebie) which leads us to Dirty Filthy Rich Men - but if you haven't read it yet, never fear as it is in the beginning of this book!

Sweet baby cheeses, what a ride we are taken on with Dirty Filthy Rich Men! From the first word to the last, it is an adventure all right!

We are back in the world of Weston, Donovan and Sabrina, and all you think you know, well that kind of gets thrown by the wayside.

Now, Donovan is my jam. But by christ he is very mercurial and man, I am sure Sabrina and I are not the only ones whose heads were spinning!

What the hell man?!?! I didn't know if I was coming or going just reading, poor Sabrina!!

At times I didn't know whether I wanted to slap the crap out of Donovan or hug him to bits. I do know that I got angry, and sad and angry again at him for Sabrina.

And I couldn't put the book down. I needed to know what was going to happen with them next.

And now I have to wait. Wait wait wait for the last part of the duet.

I don't want to wait Ms Paige, I need to know now!

This book! In the words of Keanu Reeves (circa Bill & Ted's)... woah!

I knew from reading the synopsis that this was going to be something completely different from what we have seen from Ms Bennett in the past, but The Hard Truth About Sunshine completely blew me away.

The four characters are kind of like their very version of The Breakfast Club

An angry, bitter amputee.
An optimist losing her eyesight.
A dying kid.
A suicidal thief.

Each on their very own adventure of self discovery.

One of the characters I could relate quite closely to (not saying which one) which made this story all the more emotional for me.

And it was already an emotional read. Can't tell you how many chapter I had to read through my tears. It is full of sadness, desperation, darkness - but with a ray of sunshine called Jillian to pull us all through.

I couldn't put it down (well except when I needed to wipe the copious amounts of tears away!)

The story had me captivated, the writing flowed,I was enraptured with each characters story and needed to know what was happening next.

Words can't do what I feel for this book justice.

Read it, you won't be disappointed.

Ms Edwards has left the best till last with this final installment of the Pier 70 series.

Roan has been a bit of an enigma throughout the series, and I have always been curious to his secrets. And now it is time to find out, and wow was his story more than I ever hoped it would be.

The moment he meets Colton "Seg" Seguine, Roan's life changes. Not going to spoil it for you by telling you what happens, but boy oh boy you are going to adore it.

The book is full of steam, sexy moment but mostly full of emotion. Emotion that I wasn't expecting, emotion that gripped my heart and didn't let go.

It is about secrets, it is about trust, it is about finding honest to goodness true love, no matter what obstacles are put in your way.

Sigh, I just don't think I can do this book justice - I thought Speechless was going to be my favourite in this series, but Roan and Seg have surpassed them in Harmless.

Anther great thing about this is book is that it is a crossover between the Pier 70 series and the Austin Arrows series - so yay, we will be hopefully be getting to see a little more of the marina men in the future (please Ms Edwards!)

It has been a couple of days since I have finished reading Harmless, and I am still thinking about it. I want, no I need more.

I can't wait to see what Ms Edwards brings us next.

Another wonderful read from Rachel Van Dyken. I don't know how she does it, from laugh out loud rom coms to dark mafia stories, she gets it right every time.

Firstly, don't let the title scare you off. Don't let the synopsis scare you off. Don't let the Lucas we initially meet scare you off.

Gees, that makes it sound bad, doesn't it? But it is not. Ms Van Dyken has never let us down yet, and she doesn't start here either.

Lucas Thorn is all sorts of douchey when we first meet him. But as the story progresses you will see there is more than meets the eye.

Avery - gah I just loved her. She is fun, silly, quirky and can come across as a little prudish at times, but she is one of the most adorable female characters I have read in a while.

I laughed, I may have cried, there may have been some anger come out towards characters at times, and there may have been a little bit of swooning going on .

Now I am impatiently awaiting the second book, Cheater's Regret.

Another fantastic book in the Consequence series by Rachel Van Dyken.

I adored Reid in the previous books - especially in The Consequence of Loving Colton - but oh how I LOVE him in The Consequence of Seduction!

Reid is the one who is never going to be tied down. Nope, that's not the life for him! Until Jordan.

I freaking loved Jordan from the first coffee stained, untamed hair minute we meet her. Her story of her "invisibility" struck a chord with I am sure not just myself but other readers too.

Reid has had some .... issues I guess you would call them, the past year. Horny grannies, gummi bears, you name it, he's had problems. But his biggest problem of all is Max.

Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Max in the first two books, but this time he irritate me no end! I know he is the typical brother to Reid, and siblings get on each other's nerves but gah - I think most the time I disliked him more than Jordan did! And I didn't like hating him! But this might have just been me.

He did redeem himself to me by the end though.

Reid and Jordan have sexy, hot attraction. Whenever they are together things just sizzle, and you know that if/when they get their act together things are going to be explosive.

And what happens when their fake relationship starts to feel real?

I loved that we got lots of the rest of the group in this book. I love the banter, the fun and games between them all, there is just so much mischief you never know what is going to happen next.

And LOVED that we got more of Hades and Little G from The Consequence of Revenge.

Whilst I loved the laugh out loud moments, I completely and utterly fell in love with Reid and Jordan in the quieter, more serious times.

There is just something about a Rachel Van Dyken book. I just know I am going to like it, no matter whether it is one of her romantic comedies or her bad ass mafia stories.

Cannot wait to see what she brings us next.

Rachel Van Dyken has done it again!

I thought I loved Max in The Consequences of Loving Colton, but that love for him is ramped up in The Consequences of Revenge.

#SaveMax!

After the end of Colton, Max has been floundering, and his friends decide enough is enough - signing him up for a TV show.

And hilarity ensues. From his friends to his brother Reid, everyone has their fingers in this exercise - all with the best intentions of course!

I laughed so much reading this book. I had tears in my eyes when it came to island life. Hades the goat - OMG Max talking about and too him was hilarious.

Becca is the girl that Max already wanted, but together on the island is when things really heat up. She is just as nuts as Max is, they are just perfect together. You just never know what shenanigans they will get up to next.

Ms Van Dyken has this fantastic humour in her writing that you just can't help be laugh out loud when reading. I swear, I will never, ever be able to eat gummi bears without laughing ever again.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Consequences of Revenge, and I hope we get more of this series in the future.
