This is the first Rachel Lacey book I have read, and it was a sweet, pleasant surprise.

Ethan is a ladies man around town - but there was so much more to him than that. And in fact other than a lot of talk I didn't really find him to be a ladies man at all. He is sweet, compassionate, full of heart.

And on a side note, I did find it hard to see Ethan as a big hot manly alpha - but it had nothing to do with the writing or the character, but to do with the fact there used to be a teenage boy who worked with us for a while with the same name!

I adored Gabby from the get go. Out of a bad relationship she is trying to do it all for herself, all by herself. I loved her independence.

But the scene stealer for me is Ethan's Gram Dixie. I want to be her when I grow up! She is feisty and mouthy and just wonderful.

This is a quite, cute summer (or winter for me) read, and I can't wait to read the other two books in the series about Ethan's best friends.

Like the blurb says - there is no underage shenanigans in this story (I have seen a few people worried about that bit!)

Carian Cole has certainly pushed the boundaries with Torn - and I absolutely freaking loved every moment of it.

Tor and Kenzi's love is a lifelong long love - it is just that the kind of love has shifted over the years. Some might call it twisted, sick, taboo. But to me it was just a beautiful love story, and I fell in love with her characters as they fell in love with each other.

"I have not past without him, I have not future without him."

Their connection was tangible, the emotions jumped from the pages. I could feel the the fluttering in Kenzi's stomach, I could feel their hearts beating in their chests, I could feel the love, the anguish they felt as they embarked on this wonderful but scary as shit journey.

"You changed my entire life, Kenzi, and you've continued to do so."

I loved that we got snippits of the Ashes and Embers crew - oh Asher my heart ached for you. And I loved the intro we got to Tor's family.

I have read every book that Ms Cole has released, and each and every time I fall more and more under the spell of her writing. Torn had me on an emotional ledge from the first word to the last, and I was never quite sure when she was going to tip me over the edge. But it was worth every tear, every ounce of anger and hurt I felt.

And I am not going to lie, that last 10% wrecked me.

I can't wait to see what Ms Cole brings us next.

This book follows on about a year after Body Rocks, but it can be read as a stand alone if you haven’t read the previous book.

Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln. Now if you have read the first book, you will know that Lincoln is kind of a d!ck. His attitude in the first book was quite offputting to me.

But after events at the end of the first book, I was hoping that he may be a changed man.

And I was pleased to find that he really was. Things have changed so much for him in the past year that he had to have changed personally too - and I liked the man he has become.

Emmett has had a crap year too (in fact, no one really seems to have come through the past year unscathed in this book!). But meeting Linc may be the catalyst for a better year ahead.

Steady Stroke is filled with drama, angst and a heck of a lot of coincidence. I mean really, in a country the size of the USA the amount of coincidence and fate amongst this group?? Wowsers

I loved that we got more of Trey and Dominic from Body Rocks. Their lives are so intertwined with Linc's that it would not have been his story without them.

I am going to say though that I did not connect as well with Linc and Emmett as I would have liked. Maybe it was just me, maybe it was my mood at the time of reading, maybe it was the insta-love of their relationship? Can't put my finger on exactly what it was though.

But this could just be me.

I did love the chemistry between Linc and Em, but I did find that there were some actions that needed filling out more, there needed to be consequences but I felt that things were just glanced over - but again, this could just be me.

I did enjoy Linc and Em's story, and I hope we get more of this group at some stage.

Hockey hotties – sign me up!

I am a sucker for a hockey romance, so it was a no brainer to read Winning It All.

It is not much different from a lot of the famous-hockey-star-manwhore-player-meets-the-one-yay-HEA (phew!) stories out there.

But this time I liked that it was the guy wasn't the the bad guy. He wasn't the one always stuffing up. He wasn't the one having to do the grovelling.

Sebastian and Shayne (Shay)'s "relationship" began with a bang but for every 2 steps forward they moved one step back.

Shay frustrated me. Ugh, yes we get that things in the past made her twitchy when it came to relationships, but come on woman, wake up and smell the enforcer!

Sexy frenchman Sebastian - boy, he had me wanting someone whispering French sweet nothings into my ears - I was all for him right from the get go. In fact if I was him I would have told Shay forget it a long time ago!

I did love how he never really gave up though. I just wanted him to be enough. To be enough to break through those trust barriers that Shay had reinforced round her head and her heart.

There are great secondary characters (that I guess I will have to go back and read the previous books to learn more about!) along with some characters that I just wanted to junk punch for being such douchenuggets!

Winning It All is a well written, well paced, sweet story that held my attention from the first words to the last, and I look forward to what Ms Denault brings us next.

Hellooooooo Wyatt Hammer! I adored the snippets we got of you in Mr O, but oh my, do I love your story!

And so many double entendres with this book. I am a 12 year old boy, giggling at getting hammered, nailed and screwed.

And as the saying goes - tradies get the ladies!

Well, this one certainly does anyway.

Natalie is the bomb! She is smart and witty and snarky and so much more. I loved that she didn't need a man to protect her, she could kick their arses before they knew what was happening.

And I LOVED that they both went for what they wanted - even if it was only briefly.

But I guess what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas!

Well Hung is a fun, sexy sweet rom-com that I read in one sitting (well 2, work got in the way of it being one!). If you are after a laugh out loud, hot as heck and sexy as sin (city) read, Well Hung is a must!

Woohoo! Pierce Junior is here!!

It has been a while since I read Hudson's books, I suffer terrible Bookzeimer's, so it took me a while to get back into the swing of what happened with Chandler in the past.

But now the little boy (well he was never a little boy!) has become a man.

And what a man! He's been screwed over in the past and has vowed he will never fall in love again.

Until Genevieve.

OMG the heat between this pair! The sexual attraction is off the charts, and when they act on it.. this girl is still fanning herself!

There is a little bit of suspense/intrigue as we are wondering if motives are pure, if people really are who they say they are.

My heart broke at times for Chandler (BING - I can't help it I think it every time I see the name!!), especially when it comes to his family.

I adored getting more of Hudson and Laynie (even though at times I really didn't like Hudson - and I never thought I would think that!)

I really enjoyed Chandler and devoured it once I started it.

Can't wait to see what sexiness Ms Paige brings us next.

I have had this book sitting on my shelf since it was released last year, but only just picked it up this week now that the second book is out.

Why did I wait so long?

And why did nobody tell me that I was going to need tissues?

I am not going to lie, I am not a big reader of YA books (nothing against the books, it is just my date of birth makes me a bit old to connect to a lot of them!) but I do love an Abbi Glines book.

Until Friday Night is a beautiful, heartfelt, sad but uplifting book of two young people dealing with horrible things in their lives - and moving forward together.

Can't wait to get myself started on the next one.

Roman Crazy is a sweet, sexy, adorable second chance romance.

From the minute we learn of the betrayal, I just adored Avery.

And from the minute she walks those cobble stoned roads in Rome, I have true travel-envy. I could feel the uneven paths, I could smell all the delicious foods, I could hear the noise around her.

And I am sure whilst reading I put on about 5kg just thinking about all that deliciousness.

And then there is Marcello (Marrrrrrrrrcello!) The one she left behind all those years ago. I loved that even though there were hurt feelings, that they were willing to give this love thing another go.

I did feel at times though that we didn't learn enough about Marcello - we get to know everything about Avery but he is still pretty much a mystery even when we get to the end, and it made it a bit harder to get that connection with him - but this could just be me!

I freaking LOVE Avery's best friend Daisy, and neeeed more about here - right now.

Alice and Nina should work for the Italian tourism commission, as this book felt like a love letter to Rome - and now I am saving my pennies to get there!

Thank you ladies for this book and the food cravings it has given me!

I didn't know what to expect when I started reading Hollywood Hot Mess - but I will tell you that I enjoyed it a heck of a lot more than I thought I was going to.

It is not your average "Hollywood star and starlet have a perfect relationship and become America's sweethearts" kind of book.

It touches on the darker side of fame (especially child stars - think Drew Barrymore in her teenage years). It touches on the drinking, the drugs, the rehab - all happening under the watchful eye of the paparazzi and the scrutiny of public opinion.

I thought Carly was great - at the tender age of 19 she has done it all and been through it all. But she has pulled up her big girl knickers an, even though she has a long way to go, she is doing it - for herself.

Devon is the Sexiest Man Alive, Hollywood hot stuff and the one giving Carly her career lifeline. While I like Devon, I don't know, the way he pushes and pulls at Carly, says he wants to be with her but then hides his relationship away. Gah, grow a pair man! Sure, I know things aren't what everyone thinks they are, but do what you want to do for you, not for everyone else!!

OK, rant over!

From the first word to the last, I hoped that Carly kept her sh!t together, that Devon would pull his head out of his rear end, that they really could be all that Hollywood isn't - True.

But then we were kinda cliffhangered, but never fear, the second book, Total Trainwreck is only a week away!

And now I am straight on to reading it, as I need to know what happens to our lovelies!

Firstly - I freaking love this cover!!

It has been a while since we have had a new Jodi Ellen Malpas book.

And what a way to get back on that horse!

Things really are not what they seem with both Jake and Camille - and through every twist and turn of their story I loved finding out more about them.

Fighting the attraction they have to each other lends to snark. And heat - oh my the heat!

Jake is emotionally broken, but is still a big badass hellbent on protecting Cami - kind of like the single mindedness of the Terminator sent to protect Sara Connor!

But I just adored them together, and it was Jake and Cami vs The World there for a while.

There is plenty of romance, suspense, drama, lies and deception. And a whole lot of emotions

There were some characters I just love love loved and would really like more of *cough cough Heather cough cough*

I did feel that our lovelies did kind of fall into the insta-love relationship, but this could just be me?

There were laughs, tears, grrrrs moments, OMG how adorable moments. I bit of everything.

Can't wait to see what man starting with J Ms Malpas brings us next.
