Like the blurb says - there is no underage shenanigans in this story (I have seen a few people worried about that bit!)

Carian Cole has certainly pushed the boundaries with Torn - and I absolutely freaking loved every moment of it.

Tor and Kenzi's love is a lifelong long love - it is just that the kind of love has shifted over the years. Some might call it twisted, sick, taboo. But to me it was just a beautiful love story, and I fell in love with her characters as they fell in love with each other.

"I have not past without him, I have not future without him."

Their connection was tangible, the emotions jumped from the pages. I could feel the the fluttering in Kenzi's stomach, I could feel their hearts beating in their chests, I could feel the love, the anguish they felt as they embarked on this wonderful but scary as shit journey.

"You changed my entire life, Kenzi, and you've continued to do so."

I loved that we got snippits of the Ashes and Embers crew - oh Asher my heart ached for you. And I loved the intro we got to Tor's family.

I have read every book that Ms Cole has released, and each and every time I fall more and more under the spell of her writing. Torn had me on an emotional ledge from the first word to the last, and I was never quite sure when she was going to tip me over the edge. But it was worth every tear, every ounce of anger and hurt I felt.

And I am not going to lie, that last 10% wrecked me.

I can't wait to see what Ms Cole brings us next.
