All Fired Up had the makings of a fun, fiery ride, but for me, it landed somewhere in the middle. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. It was just okay.

The premise had promise, and there were moments of chemistry between the main characters, but I found myself more intrigued by the side character Skylar than the central duo. Skylar had a spark and presence that stood out, sometimes overshadowing the leads. While the story moved along at a decent pace and had some entertaining moments, I never fully connected with the emotional depth or stakes of the romance.

If you’re looking for a light read with some magical touches and a standout sidekick, this might be worth picking up. But if you’re hoping for a romance that sweeps you off your feet, this one might fall a bit short.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy of Not Safe for Work in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. From start to finish, it was an absolute delight. I devoured it in a single day. Trishara is unapologetically herself: bold, brilliant, and brimming with personality. Watching her navigate her world with confidence and humor was refreshing, and I especially loved how Rafe never tried to dim her light. Instead, he fully supported and adored her for exactly who she is.

This story is packed with swoony, fan-favorite tropes that had me grinning like a fool: workplace tension, forced proximity, and just the right amount of steam. Nisha J. Tuli delivers the kind of banter, heart, and heat that romance readers crave, and I can’t wait to read more from her.

If you love fierce heroines, cinnamon-roll heroes, and stories that celebrate authenticity and passion, Not Safe for Work needs to be on your TBR.

There’s something magical and comforting about the way Ashley Poston tells a story. Every book has been a hit for me, full of heart, wit, and just the right touch of whimsy. But this one… while still fun and full of charm, didn’t quite land the way her others have.

It reminded me a little of M. Night Shyamalan’s early career: he made a name for himself with clever twists and strong storytelling, but by the third or fourth movie, that same formula started to feel a bit off. That’s kind of how I felt here. The story had so much potential, and I genuinely enjoyed the nods to classic romance movies and novels, but the ending felt rushed and incomplete, like the final act of the story just got swept under the rug.

Still, Poston’s voice is always a treat, and even if this one wasn’t my favorite, it was an entertaining ride.

Untouchable was fun and the spice was sizzling. Shon doesn’t hold back, and I was so here for it. But beyond the steam, what really got me were the butterflies. The relationship between the two main characters gave me that warm, fluttery feeling and I had a moment where I couldn't read fast enough. I love the real and raw moments where when I'm reading I can't keep a straight face because my heart is beating so hard.

The writing style stood out in the best way—raw, rhythmic, and real. It’s not like anything I’ve read before, and I mean that as a serious compliment. Shon lets AAVE shine through every page, and this vanilla-skinned girl found fascinating to be immersed in this world. It felt like being invited into a space and vibe that pulsed with authenticity and personality. Nothing felt watered down or polished to fit some cookie-cutter mold—it was unapologetically itself, and I adored that.

If you’re looking for a book that blends heat, heart, and voice in a way that’s anything but ordinary, Untouchable is the one.

I went in without reading the rest of the series first, and that made the beginning a little chaotic for me. There were so many character names and past connections that I genuinely struggled to keep everyone straight (no pun intended).

That said, this was also my first sapphic why choose romance, and I loved the concept. The emotional dynamics between the characters were interesting, and I appreciated the way the story explored different kinds of intimacy and connection. I was rooting for them even when I didn’t always feel deeply connected myself.

Ultimately, this isn’t my all-time favorite read, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. Fans of found family, poly romance, and steamy slow burns will probably find a lot to enjoy—just maybe start at the beginning of the series if you're someone who gets easily overwhelmed by a big cast.

Meh... I really struggled with this one. It was definitley not made for me. I struggle with audiobooks in third person, with accents, and historical... and this was all three.

Also, there was so much happening and half the time I was confused and had to go back and listen to what I missed.

I freaking love a small town story that is done well. Adorable, quirky, funny and full of heart and spice.
