Untouchable was fun and the spice was sizzling. Shon doesn’t hold back, and I was so here for it. But beyond the steam, what really got me were the butterflies. The relationship between the two main characters gave me that warm, fluttery feeling and I had a moment where I couldn't read fast enough. I love the real and raw moments where when I'm reading I can't keep a straight face because my heart is beating so hard.
The writing style stood out in the best way—raw, rhythmic, and real. It’s not like anything I’ve read before, and I mean that as a serious compliment. Shon lets AAVE shine through every page, and this vanilla-skinned girl found fascinating to be immersed in this world. It felt like being invited into a space and vibe that pulsed with authenticity and personality. Nothing felt watered down or polished to fit some cookie-cutter mold—it was unapologetically itself, and I adored that.
If you’re looking for a book that blends heat, heart, and voice in a way that’s anything but ordinary, Untouchable is the one.
