I loved this enemies-to-lovers turned friends with benefits romcom! Nikki's character development was nicely done... her grief, which bled over into ALL of her relationships, was both a trigger and comforting. Some of the things that Callum said to Nikki were things that I was glad to hear, having dealt with a very similar loss. Callum's character arc did feel a little less developed, but it was forgivable since it was a first person POV of Nikki's account.

I give this one 4.5 stars, with a round up to 5 because I absolutely couldn't put it down. I finished in just 2 days, and read over 80% of book on the second. It's definitely worth a read for any romcom lover looking for a Happily Ever After.

I'm honestly not sure why I waited so long to read this book. Perhaps it was lost in the shuffle of 2020, but let me tell you... this was an AMAZING read. I devoured this book in 2 days (and this was while I was on a camping trip and super busy). I stayed up until 3am reading and didn't want to stop.

Pepper and Jack are the offspring of a big chain fast food restaurant and a smaller NYC local sandwich shop respectively. But they're both in charge of the business Twitter accounts. Their snark and witty banter was spot on, and it made this enemies/rivals-to-"lovers" trope play out in all the best ways.

This is a fantastic and clean romcom that would be perfect for a teen or adult alike. I will definitely be adding a copy to my bookshelf to reread and share with my daughter!

The Best Man Plan is a fun romance about a girl left at the alter. Erin is furious, and sets out for revenge with the Best Man and her longtime friend, Jason. But is it just revenge, or is there more between the two?

I really enjoyed this book, for the most part. I loved the build up of the relationship between Erin and Jason, not quite a slow-burn, but still a bit of tension at first. And there was plenty of witty banter and fun times. However, I didn't really buy the reason her fiancé broke off the wedding just days before it was set to happen. This part felt a little too forced for me, and it also felt a bit rushed by the time we got there.

I would still recommend the book to romcom lovers, as not everyone will feel the same about the ending. And it definitely didn't ruin the book for me, just lowered the star rating to a 3.5 (which is rounded up to 4 for the full star review sites, as I did really enjoy the book overall).

The Wicked Deep is an incredible and haunting tale about three sister witches, long ago sentenced to death for what they were. Each year, they get their revenge on the town by inhabiting the bodies of three young girls and wreaking havoc for the townsfolk. But this year, there is a new visitor in town, and Penny is determined to not let anything happen to him. But at what cost?

This is hands down my favorite book of the year, and one of the 5 books I would hope to find with me on a desert island. I was completely immersed in this story because of Shea's beautiful and atmospheric world weaving. Once I started, I could not put the book down and finished it in just a few sittings. I won't say much more, because everyone should have the pleasure of experiencing this novel for the first time without spoilers. But I am almost sad that I will never again have that experience, though I will reread it many times to come.

I'm not much of a horror genre reader, and with a name like Horrid, I admit I was a little nervous going in. And then the initial page had me questioning "what just happened." I honestly wasn't sure what I was getting into or if I would enjoy it. But I soldiered on, and WOW... I am so glad I did! It didn't take long, and I was hooked.

The book follows Jane and Ruth, who have to move from California to Maine after Greer, Jane's dad, dies. Grief is a main theme, and I appreciated how well it was written. Jane deals with the loss of her father, and while we don't get her point of view, Ruth is dealing with her own grief throughout the entire book as well. I loved the Agatha Christie references and while I both did and didn't see it coming, the twist was just spooky enough to make me shudder but not scary enough to give me nightmares.

Lyssa Kay Adams has done it again with yet another fantastic installment in the Bromance Book Club series. I absolutely adored Alexis and Noah's story. {Best} Friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and this one was done perfectly!

I love how all of the Bromance books also "break the fourth wall" by talking about the romance genre in general as they are discussing their current "manual." In Crazy Stupid Bromance, it's in regards to the thing we like least about romance novels... and it was definitely spot on! I love the acknowledgement in a romance novel about the things we always comment as being annoying (but honestly, completely necessary at the same time).

I devoured this book in 2 days - I just couldn't put it down and stayed up until the wee hours to finish it. It's not often that I cry when reading a book, especially a romcom, but I will admit that I was definitely reading the last bit with blurry eyes.

This book reminded me so much of a 90s teen slasher movie and not in a bad way. It was an enjoyable read for people like me, who want to be a tiny bit “scared” without reading a straight horror.

Campfire was a quick read with some fun nostalgia of watching movies like Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer. Although, I actually expected the stories told around the campfire to be a bit scarier or... just more somehow? They fell a bit short of my expectations.

I’d recommend Campfire for the Halloween/fall mood reader, but probably not for someone who is looking for an intense psychological thriller or horror.
