Aidan is away at a boarding school in NYC when he accidentally gets mixed up in a cyberterrorist group targeting anti-LGBTQA people and groups.

This wasn't a bad read... but it was a little bit confusing at times. I often found myself having to go back a few pages, as the timeline or events just felt off. I don't think it was necessarily the pacing, but just felt like little things pulled me out of the story because I was scratching my head to figure things out a bit more than I would have liked.

I do like the character progression for Aidan and others though, and as a character-driven reader it definitely improved the book for me. I was able to overlook some of the things that left me scratching my head and focus more on the individual characters.

Overall, I give this a 3.5/5 stars, but will be rounding up to 4 on whole number sites, primarily because of the character development.

I like that she was a fierce, independent woman who stood up for herself and what she wanted. But I didn't love her for some reason. And as much as I enjoy romance, I think I'm falling out of love with the instalove. Fated love is one thing, but this was just straight up instalove without much character development to let the reader be on the same page. Overall it wasn't a bad read and I did enjoy it for the most part, but I'm not sure I'll continue the series.

I absolutely loved Fable! I honestly didn’t care for the other two books by the author, so I was hesitant to give this one a try, but I am SO glad I did.

Not quite Pirates, but definitely with that feel, this was a fantastic ship story that had me completely entranced. I absolutely loved going on this journey with Fable and West. And without spoilers, I will just say that I feel sorry for Saint and hope there will be more to his story in Namesake.

I am very glad that this is a duology (and that I fortunately have a Netgalley of Namesake to read and won’t have towait!). I think there is definitely more that we don’t know and can’t wait to find out how Fable's story ends!

White Hot Kiss was like coming back home after a long vacation. I’ve been a fan of paranormal romance for years... often reading exclusively PNR for months, even years, at a time. Since I’ve been reading a lot more fantasy and sci-fi for the last year or so, I’ve almost forgotten how much I love PNR.

Enter Jennifer L. Armentrout, Layla, Zayne, and Roth. Layla is a teen, still in high school, and this is definitely a YA book. So you’ll have to remember that a bit. But I honestly feel that this is a more polished YA than the Lux series, also by Armentrout (which I really enjoyed as well). While there are some things that I rolled my eyes at, they are completely natural and normal for the character.

I really enjoyed White Hot Kiss and can’t wait to dive further into the world of Gargoyles and Demons!

I have a problem. I’m a terrible series finisher. There, I said it. And any of my friends probably already know this. So let me just say, that for me to continue the second book in a series immediately after I finish the first (and I do mean, the minute I was finished) you know it has to be good. That just simply doesn’t happen.

I loved Stone Cold touch as much as White Hot Kiss. Love triangles aren’t usually my cup of tea, but I really actually didn’t mind it the way JLA wrote this one. There was something about each guy that I loved, and there were also some things about one of them that definitely made me not a fan. I have a clear winner in my mind, but as much as I hate to admit it, I actually enjoyed the tension.

Overall, this was a fantastic second book that left me wanting more. #teamroth

I completed this entire series in just a matter of days. Any of you who know me (or if you read my review for Stone Cold Touch) realize that this is just not something I do. I do not binge an entire series. I need variety and I’m a total mood reader, but I simply couldn’t wait to find out how this one played out.

Every last breath is the final book in The Dark Elements Series, and I feel that it wraps up the main characters' stories nicely. This series has it all. Action, romance, tension... and there was significant character growth and development, especially on Layla’s part. While she is still a teen, she has become much more confident in herself and her abilities. I don’t want to say too much because, spoilers, but I was very happy with the twists and turns and enjoyed every single page.
