first of all I had a very good time with this book. but there is a reason why my rating is a bit lower and it has nothing to do with the author or my enjoyment of this book.

overall I liked this story. I loved our main female character she is a real badass, relatable and funny. also she has a lot of good quotes. I also really liked the side characters, it does give you the traditional Found family trope. I did had a hard time focussing with this book and that is not entirely the author's fault mostly it is my long covid brain. the plot itself is good but not something entirely original. but still a good time. I will continue this series

this was an unexpected read. I can around this book on Pinterest and the cover is so pretty. so when I read the synopsis is sounded so interesting. so I gave this book a change and I Was so surprised. this is such a good read to read between fantasy series or besides a long book. its fun, quick and easy to read. it is an unique story and a whimsical setting. if you loved the vibes of beauty and the beast and sleeping beauty I would recommend this to you!!!

➸ The Crash is an addictive story from one of my favorite thriller authors. It takes place during the winter, in the midst of a blizzard.

➸ I really liked our main character, Tegan. She is very young and pregnant. It’s heartbreaking to see what she has gone through and how she ended up in her situation. As if that weren’t bad enough, she gets held hostage in a stranger’s home by a woman who believes her baby is actually hers. I feel like Tegan did everything she could to escape but was, unfortunately, at a disadvantage.
➸ We also follow the POV of Polly, the wife of a man named Hank. Hank is the one who picks up Tegan after her car crashes. Polly struggles with severe mental health issues and becomes convinced that the baby Tegan is carrying belongs to her. She also believes that Tegan doesn’t deserve the baby and isn’t making the right choices in its best interest—an unfair assumption, since she knows nothing about her. But even if Polly had known more, I don’t think it would have changed her mind—she was clearly not in a healthy state.
➸ Also, why didn’t Hank call 911 or take Tagan to the hospital sooner? In the end, he did the right thing, but he should have acted much earlier. He knew what his wife was doing was wrong.
➸ The twist at the end really got me. I didn’t expect the story to take that turn. It wasn’t something overly shocking or crazy, but it was still a solid twist.
➸ However, I feel like Hank and Polly got off too easily. I’m also a little scared for the child now living with them.

➸ Overall, this was a fun, addictive read that I would recommend to everyone. If you enjoyed Misery, you might want to check this book out!

"I've never killed anyone before. I'm not a murderer. I'm good person. I don't lie. I don't cheat. I don't steal. I hardly ever even raise my voice. There are very few things I've done I'm my life that I'm ashamed of. Yet here I am."

maybe not read this if you did not read this book! this is your only warning

➸ Onyx Storm was one of my most anticipated book releases of 2025. While I really enjoyed Fourth Wing and had a good time with Iron Flame, I was hoping this book would bring the series back to the level of Fourth Wing. Overall, I did enjoy it, but I still had many of the same issues I had with Iron Flame. This book didn’t fix those problems; instead, it left me even more confused.

➸ overall it was a okay book, don’t let my thoughts scare you of reading it. because my enjoyment was very high. I did laugh at this book. I did find the plot and story in general good. there were just many things I did not understand or did not like the way it was done. and it saddens me because I was a big lover of fourth wing.

I really enjoyed my reread of this book. overall iron flame is a bit slower than fourth wing, maybe even less addictive than fourthwing. but we do discover more of this world, I think that is really important but made it a bit slower that I wanted. the ending is good and shocking. I really liked this book and stand with my original rating 4.25

Wow, I did really enjoy this book. Fourth wing was one of my favorite books of 2023 so when the second book came out I was so exited but very scared because of the mixed reviews I have seen. But when I do agree with them it didn’t really matter for me. I found this story so fun and fast paced I love our main characters and the world, the dragons the school every thing. This is one of my favorite series ever. And can not wait for the next book

"It feels very special to finish a big book. Rhythm of War is the fourth book in the Stormlight Archive series, a series that I have enjoyed so far. Overall, I really liked this book, but this time it also felt like a disappointment. Let's start with the things I really enjoy, and those are the characters. Personally, this book series feels more focused on the characters than on the plot. You grow to love them through everything they go through, especially the main characters. For example, my favorite character is Shallan; from book one, she has been my favorite. But I also really like Kaladin and Adolin as characters. Every time I get their POVs, I am so happy. This book introduced me to more fun characters; my favorite in book four is Navani.
Why do I feel disappointed with this book? I expected more. I find the plot overall very dense, and the events that did happen could have been shortened because if I only read my notes, I can probably understand the story better than by reading the book itself. I am sad about that. I did not have this issue with books one and two but did with book three. I hoped that it was a curse on that book, but it wasn’t. It is possible that this particular book series is just not for me. When I look at them, I already get scared by the size; it takes my enjoyment away. Also, when the writing style is a bit more complex and I don’t understand it, I don’t feel motivated to continue the story. It all comes back to personal preferences. I think I am a person who needs to be interested from chapter one; the writing style should be easier to follow. So maybe high fantasy is not the genre for me. Could be, right? That doesn’t mean I don’t like some of them. It also doesn’t mean I will not read book five because I have that book on my shelf. But I need another way of reading it without it costing me my enjoyment."
