Not a book for me . Not enjoyable 

Just could not get into this book I was so confused

sadly this is my first DNF of 2025. and nothing bad against the author because this is not a bad book. in the end this was just not something that was my cup of tea. so first I want to say what I did like
- I did like the writing style it was not hard to read, and I could continue only for that. 

the things I did not like 
- the plot, it is not gripping for me I am not interested in seeing where this book goes to! 
- the characters are not for me. I could not connect to them and I think the side characters overshadow them a lot because they are more likable than the main two characters. 

i will keep this book maybe in the future I will give it a second try, and otherwise I really like the book cover and I have a signed edition so I don't want to get rid of it. 

I tried three to four times to read this book but I just can't nothing is making me exited to read the second book. don't get me wrong I loved book one as well, but this does not do anything for me, it feels like a copy of book one only a bit different, and it's not that I don't like the characters I feel like the story ended after book one even with the cliffhanger. and sometimes that happens when you are reading and it's okay to dnf the book. I still like this author and the books and will keep these books for their cover but I will probably never finish it
