This was the first arc of the year and I loved it. I started this last year but finished it this year. Even though Evi made some mistakes she did not deserve what she went through. I feel like she starts to catch a break then everything falls apart. Also why with the cliffhanger I was not expecting that.

Jax is the perfect man for Evi and I know he will burn the world down to get her back. I am looking forward to book 2. I gave this book 4 stars and 2.5 🌶️ there were some great scenes with Jax. 

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I will look at more books by them. I highly recommend reading this dark romance. It does end on a cliffhanger and I hope to read book 2 when it is out.

Another book for my A-Z down and this was the first book of 2025. I unfortunately did not like this book. I was hoping it would be a great series but again another book that has insta love/lust is something that bothers me. I also usually like a why choose and this one just felt too much there was so much smut which is weird for me to say but I wanted to follow the story not the characters.

The guys started out ok then all the nicknames started and it bothered me even more the only MMC I found that interested me was Bram but his part was small. I did start book 2 to see if I could continue the series but DNF’d at 50%. I gave this book 3 ⭐️ and 3 🌶️ as I said lots of spice in this book.

This may not be the book for me but it could be the book for you please do not judge a book till you try it for yourself.

I had to switch my book for A-Z and picked this book. I am a big fan of the author so this was very unexpected. I did not enjoy this book. It felt very insta romance I know they have known each other for years but I felt like they could have seen that instead of Emma instantly wanting him.

I also felt the plot was a little off. Why would she go to the friend's house and not straight to Carter? Also Ben was a disgusting human to her friend and also to Emma. I know there is a second book but I did not like this one so I didn’t want to read the next one. If you have read the second and preferred it please let me know. I gave this book 3 ⭐️ 2 🌶️.

I was not a fan of Marie in the first 2 books and I was not expecting to like her in this book and I was surprisingly wrong. Yes she made some wrong choices when she was waiting to see If Jonah would choose her. She realized they were meant to be and she had to find the right person for her.

Now in walks Tyler the elusive Sled Dog Racer who moved into the neighbourhood. His story is heartbreaking and I understand his reasoning but the way he broke Marie. Again I was not expecting to feel for her but at this moment she made me cry and I just wanted her to get the guy. I gave this book 4 ⭐️ and 2.5 🌶️ that truck scene was so unexpected but perfect.

This is the perfect holiday special for this series. We get to experience Christmas with the family of both Calla and Jonah. The tension is high with all the family under one roof and with a wedding to plan will they get through the holiday.

I liked the way this book ended and it wrapped up the series too. I gave this book 4 ⭐️ and 2 🌶️. All the people we fell in love with at the beginning of this series as well as the second book were part of this holiday and some moments made me tear up because I felt like I was saying goodbye to some friends at the end.

The continuation of the series after Calla returns home and has to move on with her life after the passing of her father and ending her short relationship with Jonah. They figure out they can not be apart and Calla moves to Alaska to be with him.
There were times I felt for Calla always being alone and wanted to smack Jonah for going to his best friend who is clearly in love with him.

This book made me angry and happy from one minute to the next. I would love to see their log cabin because it sounds beautiful. There is so much that happens in this book that I want to tell you but if you haven’t read it I do not want to spoil it for you.

If you like a romance where they can not be without each other that they move to a different country to be together this is perfect for you.

Another book I have had on my TBR for a year and I do not know why I waited. I loved this book. It made me feel like I was in Alaska as Calla was experiencing it for the first time. I loved the relationships she made with her father and the friends he had. This book made me cry at small parts but that was to be expected with the loss they all experienced.

The romance was slow building but Jonah became the perfect person for Calla in the short time. I loved this book and I gave it 4 ⭐️ and 2 🌶️. The ending made me angry but I know the rest of the series will not disappoint.

If you love a slow burn with some plot lines that will make you cry this is the perfect book for you.

At one point I did not like Sam but it changed towards the end of book 1 she became the best friend that Lennon actually deserved. Since there was a time jump we see Sam when she has grown up and is working on taking down her father. The things Sam had to go through to get her revenge was heart breaking.

Now let's talk about Chris. I would like to say it was nice to have a MMC with the same name as my husband. I loved Chris. He was the person who would take care of his family no matter what. I also love the banter between them and they were perfect together. I gave this book 4.5 ⭐️ and 2.5 🌶️ the scene with the bourbon was something else but also sticky.

I highly recommend this series. The first 2 books were perfect and this one just makes it even better. I love the friendships and the family aspect of this story.

After that cliffhanger we needed a book to piece us back together. We jump to 4 years later and everything has changed. This book has so much miscommunication that yes it can be frustrating but it was done so well. OMG I knew Lennon was dealing with something when she moved back and it hurt me when everything finally came out she was by herself other than Sam and her aunt.

The growth in these characters over the 2 books is fantastic but if I knew Claire did what she did I would have slapped her. She was insufferable and only cared about herself. Unfortunate what happened to both of them but it all happened for a reason and they found their way back to each other. I gave this book 4.5 ⭐️ and 3 🌶️ when they gave in to their need for each other it was something. I loved the chemistry between these characters.

I highly recommend this series the second book made me cry more than the first but be warned there is some miscommunication.
