I had to switch my book for A-Z and picked this book. I am a big fan of the author so this was very unexpected. I did not enjoy this book. It felt very insta romance I know they have known each other for years but I felt like they could have seen that instead of Emma instantly wanting him.

I also felt the plot was a little off. Why would she go to the friend's house and not straight to Carter? Also Ben was a disgusting human to her friend and also to Emma. I know there is a second book but I did not like this one so I didn’t want to read the next one. If you have read the second and preferred it please let me know. I gave this book 3 ⭐️ 2 🌶️.
