Wow, this was so emotional and now I'm emotional

- Be my shark, Stephens -

This book was made for book lovers.

This book was made for women in the workforce, don’t ever let anyone tell you you work too much if you love your job.

This book was about enemies-to-lovers, that everyone deserves a second chance after a rocky first meeting. You may regret it if you dismiss someone on their worst day.

"That is what I'm looking for every time I flip to the back of a book, compulsively checking for proof that in a life where so many things have gone wrong, there can be beauty too. that there is always hope, no matter what."

This was a great, fast-paced book!

I would have given it 4.5 stars but the end was a little rushed, and the big fight scene was only a few pages (-.5 stars). The FMC was only seventeen, but I kept thinking she was older since so many things happened 5 years before (to her brother), which would have made her 12(-.5 stars)? Seems young, but I guess that's also the way the world was built.

Wasn't a big fan of the romance when it reached its time, but I did like the enemies-to-lovers start of it! Then it trickled into insta-love, which is not a favourite trope of mine.

Excited to read the next book and hopefully, see some of the characters again, but considering The Last Legacy - the "3rd" in the Fable Series didn't have any original cast appear, I won't get my hopes up

Everything was so *perfectly* wrapped up.

Too perfectly.

You know, unbelievably perfect endings for characters, which always makes me roll my eyes.

The best story was Sabrina and Tucker's, that was hilarious.

Garrett took a nose dive in his and Hannah's book, he was pretty awful to Hannah when he found out about her pregnancy and I was NOT a fan of that.

We need more Alexander content, and now with his sister Cassandra showing up

4.5 stars⭐️

I’m not a fan of the pregnancy trope but I thought this one was done pretty well!

The beginning was a little slow at times, since part of it happened in the previous book, albeit from a different POV, but it progressed nicely.

Wow. I need a Tucker, or any of the Off-Campus men, in my life

4.75 stars since the ending was a little rushed. Just like Logan's father miraculously seeing how bad his addiction was, Dean all of the sudden seeing his destruction in one night and immediately changing, was a little unbelievable.

Other than that, loove this book!

4.75 stars only because the ending, with Logan's dad's revelation, was unrealistic.

Really enjoyed this one! I liked both main characters but I connected with Logan more since we share a similar type of father. I understand all of his inner thoughts on his dad and it was pretty authentic.

TW/CW for addiction and chronic pain, since they are a big part of Logan's story with his father. But I thought it was done really well (as someone who has chronic pain and had an addict father who also had chronic pain). The only thing not done well, in my opinion, was what I said above. His dad's "come-to-Jesus" or whatever moment. I wish it happened that easily in real life.

The fight scene that happens at the end of contemporaries, which I'm not a fan of btw, happened in the beginning-ish BUT ALSO ANOTHER ONE HAPPENED AT THE END. The first one was great! It was unexpected and you don't see that too often in books. I was hoping that since they did the fight/break-up trope then, there wouldn't be one at the end, but nope. Always needing the pointless conflict

Wow. This was almost as good as the first! I would have given it 4.5 stars, since it did lag in some places and there were a lot of POVs, which I'm not a fan of, but I didn't really like the ending, so my rating is 4 stars.

So many people died for the story to just end like that, and I feel like it's a little too open-ended, but I still really enjoyed reading it!

Dol. Thank God he didn't permanently die.

I'm so glad Mitch and Syd are staying together!

Who the f knows what Victor's going to do now. Probably try and recreate the serum.

Why did June want to be around Sydney so much? Were we supposed to know her from the first book and I just forgot? Who is June??

Phew, that was a roller coaster of emotions

2.75 stars

So I started off really enjoying this, maybe a 3.75 star, and then it went downhill from there. The writing is a little childish, the plot moved slowly then insanely quickly, and the characters were all one-dimensional.

Persephone was hard to get a read on for me. Like she “blushed” all the time for no reason. She was so closed off and quick to react. The showdown with her mother lasted less than a page. Her powers, and why they never worked, were never explained enough for me.

The spicy parts felt strange, I dunno why
