This was a short Poirot tale. I appreciate it for what it was a 50-odd page story set over the course of an evening into the following morning. It didn’t have the same feel as a longer novel but was still enjoyable. I still find Hercule Poirot one of the favorite detectives.. I think moreso than even Miss Marple. A lovely little mystery that can easily be read and enjoyed all in one day.

Another fun book in the series. and now daisy and Gideon finally do it in their magic garden. A little too close to lady garden but what have you… I have enjoyed all the books I have read and this one is no different. Daisy’s adventures as the death counselor continue but not she also might be a little more. The character author Robyn peterman creates continue to be lovable. Well, for those that aren’t awful haggy bitches. Will definitely continue the series as it is very lighthearted
It said it was funny but I haven’t laughed once in 10 pages
As typical with multi POV books, I find myself ranking them. And I wish Deborah was used more. And Terrell was used less. Like the little bear, Shelby was just right. A few things took me out of the story— one of them being the alternating POV but also the fact that Blockbuster was still a popular thing. Every time Blockbuster came up my brain commented on it. I am glad to have read this, but I am not sure it will be a reread or a favorite.
This is an ultimate will they or won’t they as I keep wanting to shout “just get back together and admit you’re in love.” Emily Henry continues to perfectly mix romance and comedy rom-com style. The main character starts her vacation claiming to feel like one of those women from a tampon commercial ready to take on the world…only for the world to throw her to a loop. The parts that made me laugh and smile really made me laugh. And the internal grunting (awk) because why don’t people just want to be happy also made me want to just keep reading just to see if they would eventually get it right.
Fun and delightful characters! The beginning of this book picked up right where the first one left off when I read it last year. So because of that Daisy starts the story at about level 8 or 9 panicked screaming. But once she recovers after a conversation so resumes her role as the enjoyable narrator with the even more enjoyable grandmother and cast of ghost that are squatting in her place while they wait to finish the last of their unfinished business.
Oh great. Now there’s another book I immediately want to read—that being the sequel of course. I enjoyed this immensely. It was exciting and captivating and all those good adjectives. By the time I reached the end with the last twist I found myself debating how soon I can get a hold of the second story.

This is a short little novella to set us up for the series being published in October of this year. Set 6 years after ww1 in the uk, this introduces us to the two main characters. One is a young girl getting her first taste of freedom away from her parents. And the other is of course the independent and wise widow who speaks her mind no matter the cause. And of course drinks a French 75 and touts around a pistol in her purse while solving the murder while waiting for Scotland Yard to arrive. We all know the type… The author made this little novella available for free to introduce us to these characters before their adventure really begins this fall. I enjoyed meeting them and I will check out the book in the fall.

I still constantly try to make ridiculous guesses to guess the twist. For this one I was pretty sure I knew it and I was right. So that’s what stops this book from being a true five stars. However it is really, really close. I will be tired at work tomorrow. But I just had to finish it. Once that first twist was confirmed I just had to read it all.
I liked every single character. When was the last time I read a book and liked every single character? This book had fun, meet cutes, family history, mad aunts, and tampons exploding all over the airport concourse. I was engaged with the story and loved all the characters. By the end I just wanted to wrap them all up in a hug. I will definitely read more from this author.
