Children are woken by the wind blowing through their window, whispering to come outside and play. They fly a kite, race the wind, and watch the clouds blowing by. The branches of the trees bend in the wind, and the windows shake and rattle.

I loved the free and breezy mood of this book! I personally love being out in a windy day, so this book really resonated with me.

The rhyming text is quite good. I am very picky about rhymes in children's books, but I was happy with the lovely story and good rhymes in this book.

The illustrations are so cute and colorful! Every page is full of blustery wind. The leaves and flags and curtains in the background really feel like they are being recklessly blown about. The art is so good that you can feel the movement of the wind in every scene.

This picture book follows Mouse and Dinosaur as they prepare for their first day of school. They are both so scared. Mouse worries that the children won't like her, and Dinosaur worries that the teacher might be mean. But there is a huge surprise waiting for the class when they arrive at school! I just love it! I had to read the book twice to appreciate the genius of that plot twist and how the writing skillfully leads the reader into a funny misconception.

I love the colorful illustrations! Every page is popping with brightness and fun. The art is really expressive and cute! I love the crayon style of the art.

This whole story is delightful and fun, and this would be the perfect gift for a little reader who is just starting a new school year!

Bobby the Bear goes to the river to catch some fish. He builds a fire and cooks the fish, but right when he is about to eat, someone steals his dinner. All the animal friends help Bobby to search for his missing dinner and catch the thief.

The only thing I like about this book is that it has a positive message of forgiveness and friendship.

This book is much too text-heavy for a children's picture book, and the illustrations aren't that good.

Some of the words are obvious ones (D is for Duck, and B is for Barn), but others of them are more exotic (X is for Ximenia), and one of the words left me confused about why it was included (N is for Next-Gen).

The illustrations are bright and colorful, and I love the cute art style! Every page is vibrant with animals, plants, and farming equipment. The farmers pick apples in the orchard, irrigate the fields, harvest pumpkins, milk the cow, and collect eggs from the chickens.

This cookbook has recipes for delicious fruit beverages and ice pops made in the traditional Mexican style. There are recipes for cinnamon and clove flavors, as well as lighter fruit flavors like orange, melon, and strawberry. And of course, some of the more spicy and chocolate flavors are deliciously Mexican.

These recipes take me back to my childhood in Mexico! Just reading the book makes my mouth water. Every recipe has a large colorful photograph that shows you the delectable result. I'm so impressed with how attractive this book is!

The instructions are clear, and most of the ingredients are easy to find at any grocery store. There are a few ingredients like chamoy sauce, Mexican chocolate (my favorite is Abuelita chocolate), dried hibiscus flowers, tamarind, or prickly pears that you might have to buy at a Hispanic market. But there are dozens of recipes to try that don't require any fancy ingredients.

The ice pop recipes I really want to try are the Orange and Yogurt Pops, Hibiscus Watermelon Pops, Mexican Chocolate Pops, and the Corn Pops. And I want to try the Strawberry Orange Beet Cooler beverage, Strawberry Almond Horchata, and especially the Mint Blackberry Lemonade. They all look so amazing!

Esta es una historia conmovedora de lo que las personas están dispuestas a sufrir y soportar para tener una mejor oportunidad en la vida para sus familias. Crecí en México cuando era niña y luego me mudé de regreso a los Estados Unidos donde mis padres son ciudadanos, así que conozco muchos mexicanos que han vivido este tipo de historia. Mi corazón está con ellos. Romper la ley al inmigrar ilegalmente nunca es una buena idea, y es aún peor enviar a un niño a esa situación, pero puedo entender qué llevaría a la gente a esos extremos. Tienen mi compasión, y este libro ciertamente me hace llorar. Esta es una historia muy importante para contar.

This picture book tells the true story of a young illegal immigrant who travels with his father to the United States from Mexico. The boy and his father leave their family in Mexico and swim across the Rio Grande and walk for days across the desert. They are homeless until the father is able to find a job and send his son to public school. The boy learns English from other children at school. Years later, the boy and his father are reunited with the rest of their family.

This is such a touching story of what people are willing to suffer and endure in order to have a better chance in life for their families. I grew up in Mexico as a child and then moved back to the United States where my parents are citizens, so I am friends with many Mexican people who have lived this kind of story. My heart goes out to them. Breaking the law by immigrating illegally is never a good idea, and it's even worse to drag a child into that situation, but I can understand what would drive people to such extremes. They have my compassion, and this book certainly brings a tear to my eye. This is such an important story to be told.

The illustrations are really colorful and the art is beautiful with its own unique style. I think the book is too text-heavy for a children's book though. Every page has multiple paragraphs and long sentences. I'm not sure what age group is the target audience for this book. It might be for 4th or 5th grade, but the art work seems a little childish for that age group. I do like that the book is bilingual, with both Spanish and English on each page.

This board book encourages the young reader that they are ready for kindergarten. They know the colors and shapes. They know all their numbers and letters. They know how to listen and obey. There's no reason to be worried about starting kindergarten, because these little readers are ready to learn!

This is such a cute book! I love the positive messages about being proud of all you have learned, and being willing to take on new challenges.

The text has good rhymes that flow easily, making it enjoyable to read out loud. The illustrations are cute and colorful! I love that all the cheerful characters shown in the illustrations are diverse. The art style is really attractive!

Me encanta la estructura tradicional de los cuentos de hadas y los giros imaginativos que toman las historias. Cada historia tiene elementos emocionantes y cierta repetición al igual que las historias tradicionales. Y, por supuesto, hay una lección moral al final. Las historias mantuvieron mi atención y aprecié los personajes interesantes que encajan en los roles de los viejos cuentos de hadas.

¡El arte me encanto, y disfrute de la historia! Me encantaron las escenas coloridas y los personajes divertidos.

This comic book tells three traditional stories from Latin America about magic wands, dragons, foolish housewives, and lazy third sons.

I love the traditional structure of the fairy tales, and the imaginative turns the stories take. Each story has both exciting elements and some repetition just like traditional stories. And of course, there is a moral lesson at the end. The stories kept my attention and I appreciated the interesting characters that fit into the roles of old fairy tales.

The cartoon art really enhances the enjoyment of the story! I loved the colorful scenes and the funny characters.
