Mouse is actually the teacher! This book shows that teachers can be nervous on the first day of school too.

I just love it! I had to read the book twice to appreciate the genius of that plot twist and how the writing skillfully leads the reader into a funny misconception.

I love the colorful illustrations! Every page is popping with brightness and fun. The art is really expressive and cute! I love the crayon style of the art.

This whole story is delightful and fun, and this would be the perfect gift for a little reader who is just starting a new school year!
