CheckMate by Angela Taylor is flirty slow burn romance. I loved how both Royce and Billie both had similar pasts that kept them from trusting others, but were able to learn to trust again together. Royce is so swoony and Billie is so cute. When these two finally get together, sparks fly! I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading more Angela Taylor.

Pining by Stephanie Rose is a book that pulled at heartstrings before delivering a beautiful HEA. I loved how Victoria was her own woman, and indulged in things that interested her, but still had her some personal demons to face. Anthony's past and need to prove himself to everyone plus himself created some heart-wrenching conflict. The comic book backdrop along with the holiday season was fun and unique. The magnetism between Victoria and Anthony was palpable and encouraged some steamy intimate scenes.

Flirtasaurus by Erin Mallon was a super cute romance. I loved the museum shenanigans and humor. Ralph was so swoony in how he helped Calliope start to view the world in new ways and pulled her out of her own mind. I enjoyed how Calliope was so opinionated and fought for what she believed in. This book gave me a book hangover. I couldn't get Ralph and Calliope's story out of my mind. It is such a happy place book!

Mirrorland by Carole Johnstone had kept me guessing about what had happened in Cat and El's childhood and then what had happened to El in the present. It was hard to set this book down. There were some seriously creepy moments and vibes in this story, that made it a great spooky read. I will say that somethings I predicted, did end up coming true, which while I like guessing things correct did make this book feel a tad underwhelming. Overall, this an entertaining and spooky thriller.

Vines by Brynne Asher was everything I had hoped it would be! I love a good hitman romance and Crew was hot! I enjoyed how Addy was independent and ready to take care of herself. The intimate scenes between these two were ubber steamy! The tension around who and why people were keeping tabs on Addy and what Crew was going to do to keep her safe kept me turning the pages. Addy and her cows had me cracking up. The secondary characters were just as interesting as Crew and Addy. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series to find out more about them.

Carrots drew me in from the cover. I knew I had to know more. The blurb had so many things I enjoy: a spunky heroine, a hitman, mystery, and action. Once I started reading Colleen Helme had me hooked from the very first sentence. I could not put this book down. It was everything that I had hoped it would be. I read it all in one sitting. I loved how Shelby was such a stubborn and courageous character. The situations she found herself in had me wondering how she would get out. All the side characters were intriguing and their relationships with Shelby led to some fun moments. I got some Agnes and The Hitman and Moon Dance vibes.

Lovebug by Erin Mallon is a fun, heart growing adventure. That being said I had to get past the first couple chapters before really starting to enjoy the story. I enjoyed Mabel's intelligence and sass. I felt the way Wallace was portrayed from other characters in the beginning didn't quite mesh with how he acted. That didn't really matter when he grew as a characters as he hung-out with Mabel though. I appreciated how Wally understood Mabel, encouraged her interests, and was such a handyman! I was a bit surprised as to the reason Mabel's parents had severed ties with her Aunt Tina. I enjoyed getting to see more of Calliope and their other friends. Overall, I had fun time reading Lovebug and thought it was a good sequel to Flirtasuarus.

Sariah Wilson wrote a hilarious tale of being true to yourself and finding romance. I laughed out loud through the whole book. Madison was my exact brand of humor. Her struggles with learning to clean were so funny and realistic. Madison’s friends were great. The romantic angst between Tyler and Madison was palpable. These two are such a swoony couple. They had me balling my eyes out at the end of the tale. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book this laugh-out-loud. I enjoyed Madison and Tyler’s story a lot. The physical moments between Madison and Tyler were several smoking-hot kisses. Which worked great for this romance and allowed for the connection between the two to be the focus of this romance.
