I had trouble getting into this story. There were some editing errors that kept me from getting into the scenes. I also kept looking at the percent of the way done on my kindle and felt like I was barely making a dent. The story has great potential and the descriptions were written well. I liked both the main characters well enough, but just could get past how long it was taking me to make any progress. I don't want to leave a star review since I didn't actually complete the story.

I'm not rating this story with stars since I didn't actually finish it. I wanted to get into it, but the characters and setting just didn't draw me enough to keep me engaged. I've heard good things about Lili Valente and liked the premise for this story. Perhaps, this was just not the right book to start my Lili Valente reading adventure.

I struggled with the FMC. For a supposed kind and nice character she was obliviously insulting to hero when she meets him. I DNFed this story at chapter 6.
