Why do I do this to myself? Fucking dumb as hell. I just...I don't even have words. Fucking fuck Morrison...how many drugs do you take?

Okay so maybe I got excited after reading We3. I thought MAYBE I just disliked Grant's DC titles but I'd love his independent work. Right? WRONG.

So joe here is having a issue. Is he dying? Kind of. Well he will if he doesn't take his medicine. Okay cool. OH NO WE HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER WORLD WITH TALKING MICE and OTHER shit NO one cares about. This whole book is just a huge mess, loud and annoying, as if I was watching a fucked up, drugged up, transformers flick mixed with Mad Max. Just everything comes off cheesy as hell dialog wise, and then these "grand" moments are so over the top and hard to follow half the time.

Listen, this is just more screwy, weird looking, weirdly written, garbage. I hate it. Goddamn it. Two bad books in a row. WHY! STOP READING HIS SHIT JAMES! STOPPPPPP!!!!!

I didn't love this one. Sad too because love the other Nova run (newer one).

So this is the story after Annihilation. I haven't read the entire event but got the short version. Bad shit happens, Nova Corp wiped out, and Richard becomes Nova Prime. A Super Saiyan version of Nova, which is cool in itself. I actually enjoyed the first two issues or so. Even the third was solid. When we get used to Richard, who he is, and also seeing him on earth. Then he goes to space and it becomes less interesting. Meeting up with some of the Guardians of The Galaxy with a less than interesting new player using the Nova helmet, to the abrupt ending. It just feels offbeat and not all that well paced. Also the art can be good, other times feels oddly placed and not all that good.

So it was kind of a letdown and wish I enjoyed it more. Hoping the next volume, when I get to it, I'll enjoy it more.

Enjoyable but little to disjointed for me.

This volume contains 3 different arcs. First was all about Emi. Second about the island. Third about Canary, Diggle, and Oliver on a moving train filled with people and an assassin trying to kill an important figure.

Emi's story arc was fun at first but kind of a letdown. I love her character, she's badass and awesome fighter. However they didn't do her justice here. Just a lot of backstabbing and silly fights that really added to nothing. This felt like a origin story or a build up story without a good payoff. This was the weakest of the bunch.

The Island arc was good but that's about it. What do you expect? Oliver trying to save diggle. Canary helping out. It's good old fashion fun but feels rushed and just kind of middle ground.

The last arc is the best. Because it's funny, each character (well kind of diggle) gets to shine. And the art is damn amazing. So for sheer fact that it's a easy read, looks great, and made me smile makes it the best story of the bunch.

I believe I liked volume 1 more. This felt kind of disjointed and not as well put together. Still, Green Arrow volume 2 is a fun read regardless. I just expect better is all. A 3/5.

Who knew Flintstones of all comics can be one of the best new comics to check out?

This is a grown up version of Flintstones. No it's not super gritty of violent. Yes it still has funny moments. Yes it still has all the characters you love. The major difference is the themes and stories it wants to tell. It's social satire at it's finest. From PSD to Racism to Politics. It covers it all and in a way I thought was respectful and fun no matter which side you lean towards. That's not always easy to do.

I'd also like to mention I love the art. Pebbles and Bam Bam's redesign among my favorite. I also enjoyed everyone else too and they all look more like you'd expect for a modern feel.

Besides the alien arc I really enjoyed each and every story. They had multiple lines that made you think for a moment after reading. I appreciate that and really hope this series keeps up.

Funny. I read volume 1 when it came out (The volume 1 that comes after this volume 1...yeah...fucking Marvel). So this was like going back before what I read.

So Scott is the new Antman. He fun, he has a kickass teenage daughter, and he's about to start his job with Tony. Sounds sweet right? WRONG. We move right to miami. I felt like the editors wanted Spencer to do things here and there and he went along with it. It felt rushed at spots, and even more so in the next volume.

On the good side Scott is a lot of fun. He really does make you smile a lot of the time while reading. His daughter is awesome and watching them together works really well. Also the side characters he gets in this series (and later keeps in the next volume) are great. I mean you got a guy dressed up like a bear. Not transformed into a bear. Dressed up as a freaking BEAR. I mean...just awesome.

So yeah it's a fun little read. The main plot is mindblowing but the characters are fun and that's what matters.

Well this was...a surprise.

I almost gave this a four star. My only negative was how short this comic was and how it wrapped up too quickly for the first arc. That and I don't think Issue 1 really shows why this comic is so good. It's just Okay...fun. Then issue 2-4 happen.

Okay so once it starts rolling and we learn a lot about Gwen Poole (which is amazing name. She is not another Gwen btw) it becomes tons of fun and actually has some great emotional moments. I loved her interaction with characters no one cares about yet this small little comic makes you think back on why these "villains" were never used in better ways. Also the Thor moment was wonderful.

Also the art is great. Very anime style but still western, and the flow of fights, and the overall design of everyone is great. Also Gwen is so freaking CUUUUUTE. My new crush. Which is odd, I hate her suit but her face is Cuteness X1000000

So yeah. Really solid first volume. Hoping this series keeps up. A 3.5/5.

To make it clear. I still really dig this series. However, this volume was a tad...boring.

I get it. The mystery. The reveal. It'll be huge. So we have to run circles around it. Make it confusing, make it scary, make it exciting. However, some answers need to slip through. In here we got what we expected. A lot of talking, alot of threats, but no real action (till the end). Now I don't need boom, bang, slash action every issue. But I want the plot to move in exciting ways. This volume didn't really do that.

However two major things I LOVED. Kyle is finally less of a moping little bitch. He has funny one liners, good come backs, he's becoming confident, and stronger. It's nice to see his character development. I really enjoyed that. Also, without spoilers, the last few pages is amazing. A turning point, and made this jump up from a 2.5 to a 3.5. So hopefully the series moves forward that way.

Still a great series in total. Very different than anything else out there and I love it for that.

Holy hell this series is funny as hell.

Again my only issue, like the first volume, is I'm unclear where the main plot is. Seems very jumpy.

That is my only problem with this series. Love the art. The dialog is sharp and witty. I f'ing love all the characters, new and old. And Pretzle..the dog...is a fucking HERO. Might be one of my favorite animals in comics ever.

This volume really focuses on the investigation of the dead celeb. So spoilers for volume 1, the young female actress was murdered. Now we follow our favorite blonde as he heads into full investigation mode. Except...it's not what it seems. Maybe he's apart of it!? DUM DUM DUM! Then we're introduced to a politician who just is f'ing funny. Like I can't even describe the scenes because they're too good to give away. Let's just say I find it hard to think you won't laugh.

On top of that we focus a lot on pretzle as his new partner. I love this dog and the issues with him are great. It really picks up at the end and maybe we'll get a clear plot next volume.

Regardless, plot or minimal plot, this series is hilarious. I want more. And now. RIGHT NOW!

Wow another surprise. I guess maybe I should check out more books I had no interest in for marvel vs the big names.

So after enjoying Gwenpool I decided to try this one out. I really really had fun with this one once more. The negatives let's get out the way first. I didn't love the last issue. I felt it wrapped up to quickly. I also didn't love the plotline, I felt it was jumbled (on purpose but still) and didn't have a satisfying ending. I just didn't like Issue 5 too much.

Now issue 1-4? Super enjoyable fun time. The first issue does a great job of introducing you to Bobbi. I have no clue who this person is and I love comics. She's a Shield agent ready to whoop some butt. But as issue 2-4 show you it's not as simple as that. Some really fun twist and turns, a solid supporting cast, great dialog, and stellar art make this a ton of fun to read.

I'd rate it around a 3.5 because I did have a lot of fun. If only I enjoyed the final issue more and also the story structure it be damn great. But still very much worth the read!
