The Fix, Vol. 2: Laws, Paws and Flaws
by Steve Lieber, Nick Spencer
Holy hell this series is funny as hell.
Again my only issue, like the first volume, is I'm unclear where the main plot is. Seems very jumpy.
That is my only problem with this series. Love the art. The dialog is sharp and witty. I f'ing love all the characters, new and old. And Pretzle..the dog...is a fucking HERO. Might be one of my favorite animals in comics ever.
This volume really focuses on the investigation of the dead celeb. So spoilers for volume 1, the young female actress was murdered. Now we follow our favorite blonde as he heads into full investigation mode. Except...it's not what it seems. Maybe he's apart of it!? DUM DUM DUM! Then we're introduced to a politician who just is f'ing funny. Like I can't even describe the scenes because they're too good to give away. Let's just say I find it hard to think you won't laugh.
On top of that we focus a lot on pretzle as his new partner. I love this dog and the issues with him are great. It really picks up at the end and maybe we'll get a clear plot next volume.
Regardless, plot or minimal plot, this series is hilarious. I want more. And now. RIGHT NOW!
