Holy shit talk about living up to the title. I will admit this title been a little uneven. There's issues I really enjoyed but this is by far the best issue after being kind of let down last issue. This time everything goes crazy, big crossover event, and a ending that was a bit shocked at. Now I NEED to know where we go from here.
This moves at a much quicker pace than I expected. Now that his dumbass son fucked everything up he's sent by the company to retrieve the Alpha. Of course he's sent with two soldiers who don't really know shit about Xenomorphs. So you can expect a bloody good time here. So begins the death and carnage I've been waiting for.
So here begins my reading adventure to finally finish The Walking Dead comic series. I've read about half of it back in the day but never did get a chance to finish it.
I think most people seen, read, or least heard of the Walking Dead. After the zombies start invading Rick and his group of survivors must try to get through the hellish landscapes and meet new people to try to work together to survive. It is really amazing how it begins as so many people still have hope the government will fix this, that people are still KIND to each other. All this is about to change but re-reading the start it is amazing how different it is at the start.
The dialogue is Kirkman's strongest part. Realistic, well crafted, funny at times, haunting at others. He gives a voice to so many characters and they all feel different. On top of that the art is really solid and although it changes half way, both artist have the feel of the atmosphere even if the designs themselves change.
It is a bit slow and sometimes long winded conversations get a bit much, but everything else from the shocking deaths to the heartfelt moments really works well. One of the best horror/survival comics ever made without a doubt. First volume gets a 4 out of 5.

So back in the 90's to spike sales in comics they made the main heroes die or get replaced. Batman, Superman, now Wonder Woman. Diana is replaced by Artemis who becomes the new WW. However, she doesn't really because 70% of the book still focuses on Diana...so what the hell was the point of this replacement?
But either way this book feels weird. A relic of the past. Men who are monstrous are so huge their arms are the size of a car. Wonder Woman, both of them, are dressed to the point they're wearing like a bra and panties. Now I love me some boobs and ass, but this is ridiculous. However, I won't lie, this is a super easy breezy read. Fast paced and some cool commentary. But it's nothing special and we can see why it didn't last long.
A 3 out of 5.

Another solid volume. This time we get to learn the process of releasing a game and the pressure it takes.
I really enjoy all the gaming stuff. Learning how it is made, the various steps, and the release seems scary if not exciting. I also really am liking the cast, great chemistry, and some cute moments. When they all had to do the exams I did laugh a few times. The ending with them having a new leader can bring interesting future results.
Cute and fun series for sure.

Just as insane as the last volume.
Now with the seat taken by her, she leads the country with a bright future. But in demanding things to change she might cause a action she regrets. Unlike most of these money hungry power hungry pieces of shit in the Government she might feel something for the actions she does. On top of that we get the revenge story against a brother who has done wrong on top of a nice mother and daughter murdering a bunch of people for trying to harm them. Good times to be had.
If like crazy shit with some political commentary it's worth checking out. A 4 out of 5.

This to me is when The Walking Dead transformed from a solid story with zombies to an amazing story with zombies as the backdrop. And I mean that in the best way possible.
This is a very human story. The focus of this whole series is the people and their lives and how they survive. The other stuff with the zombies and such is cool situation but it is not the focus. For that I am glad, because zombies aren't very interesting to me. And Rick here decides it is time to clear our a prison and use it as a fort. A place where people can sleep, eat, take showers and so on. This is good news, right? Except all hell breaks loose and a little secret, the zombies are the real scary factor anymore, it is the humans.
Betrayal, suicide, love, loss, murder. These are the things that are mainly what this book is about. So many people die here, some horrific ways, some simple and brutal, some vengeful and powerful. Everything works though. Robert Kirkman is able to give us SO many characters yet we all grow attached to a lot of them and feel the emotion they're trying to emote. On top of that the actual situations are interesting and you may keep switching sides on who and who you don't agree with here.
I really love this volume as Rick control as a leader begins to slip. So many characters lose things that the cracks in the foundation of working as a team get larger and larger till nobody can withstand it. It's almost unbearable to read so much carnage but I couldn't look away.

Man Mark is really hitting his limit in life in terms of "trying" to be a normal guy.
Mark is flunking class. Life seems a bit unsure with his girlfriend and is heading in a negative direction. He clearly thinks of his father as he keeps reading his books researching ways to save him. Everything just seems to be crumbling down on Mark despite his best efforts to be a hero and safe people, and that's what makes this such a great volume. You can relate so much to Mark here.
On top of that the ending really gets going after some calm times with Mark we see Allan the alien finally make his move to try and help Mark in a unexpected way. The ending resulting in some team up action coming soon? Oh yeah baby.
Invincible was on a roll in this era, giving us daily life issues with superhero big fights and brutal deaths. Mark just trying to transition from school life to full adult is just so damn entertaining to watch.

Serial killer truck drivers? Sign me the fuck up.
This was a nice little graphic novel about truck drivers who have basically a cult of serial killers. They find prostitutes, beat them, bring them in, torture, kill them and probably more. But one gets away and manager at a restaurant tries to save her and dies in the process. This leads his daughter to return home and hunt down the sons of bitches who would do such a thing.
This is a pretty fast paced thriller horror story that I liked a lot more than I expected. I think it's far fetched and a little corny at points, but it is also really fun. Reminds me of like the early 2000's horror movies not in the movies but straight to DVD but they become a cult classic like Joyride (Great movie btw). If want some faced paced thriller fun check this book out. AWA does it again.

What if you can send letters to your old self in the past to change the future. Would you do it? To save someone you care about?
I think the idea of this book, of sending letters to try to change a terrible outcome, works well but it has been done to death. What makes this book a stronger case for that plotline is the fact it heavily focuses on depression and suicide. Of course, this might be a tougher subject to read about for some. Everyone deals with different levels of depression, anxiety, and suicide tendencies can creep up on anyone.
Naho gets a letter from herself to save a boy named Kakeru's life. This poor kid is going through hell mentally and finally he finds a group of friends he really begins to enjoy being around. But Naho knows the future and what could happen so she tries to change little things everyday to help make his life better.
I think almost everything works here. The characters all have great chemistry. Watching them try to save a friend is done in a sad but impactful way. On top of that I love how depression is dealt here, and there is no simple "fix". I feel the story has a bit of fluff here and there and an annoying side character ex-girl that could just leave. But everything else really works. Also the art is great.
