Blue Flag goes into the final act as the truth is now out.

Without spoilers I really love ALOT here. I think there's some powerful speeches from people. I think feelings finally are starting to get resolutions. I think people are being HONEST with each other. I think the truths of why people have certain view points are finally coming out in interesting ways. I think a lot of it works.

I will say it gets ham-fisted at points. This happened before but there's a 5 way argument that feels WAY to scripted at points. It goes on too long. There's great parts in there but overall it's a bit disjointed.

But a lot of the rest works. There's a theme here of learning, accepting, respecting, and living life the way you see fit. I just hope our characters can do that in the final volume coming very soon.

Who knew there were other Alpha? Also who knew who Rita's parents actually were? Maybe I just don't remember from back in the day but this all came as a shock to me.

We balance the storyline of Trin and Jason trying to "date" while all the others are also finding purpose in their life as teenagers dealing with life and school and being a power ranger. On top of that RIta makes some pretty big moves here and a lot of big reveals. Alpha 1 comes back from the past and he's basically Alpha 5 but a lot meaner, stronger, and more efficent in fighting.

Overall, once again Power Rangers balances a lot of storyline sand tones/themes well. I believe Parrott was MADE to write power rangers. His dialogue is great, the art is fantastic, the pacing is well done, and the fights are fun as well as the big reveals.

A 4 out of 5.

Probably the best volume to date.

We get a psycho piece of shit who is just going THROUGH the entire Bulls team. Not even giving them a chance to do shit. Just when you think one of the members pulls off a huge attack the bastard reminds them they are nothing. I love the fact this enemy just goes "Just because you scream and keep pushing forward doesn't mean you'll win" and basically laughs at that anime cliche. On top of that the fact they do little inside jokes "Don't think you're stronger because you somehow grew a third eye" makes me laugh.

Overall, SUPER fast paced and exciting volume. It also ends on a big explosive note. I wonder if they can actually beat this guy. A 4 out of 5.

Okay now we're talking.

Takemichi is trying to save everyone. This is his goal from the very start. And we explode into a violent fight between two gangs right off the bat here. Manjiro wasn't a character I fully believed could back up his bold claims of being a badass but he proves it here. But when everything goes wrong thanks to the actions of one guy, everything begins to break apart as the friction between two friends can break a family.

This was a lot better paced and more interesting volume than the previous two. While it got better last volume, this one was fantastic. I feel for Michi and his need to save people after feeling like a failure his whole life. Him pushing forward to stop two brothers from killing each other is noble. It's the brutal fights and sudden bloody moments that give this series a spark that makes me second guess everything.

Can you really save the future?

A 4.5 out of 5.

Well least they're finally making out more.

The whole storyline is dragging on. I think what would have worked better if the author decided about half way through to make them begin to actually date and find out their sexuality together and why and how they stay together. The whole little teases here and there only work for so long. But I guess it works enough to keep me reading. Better than last volume but getting annoyed how slow the romantic relationship is growing.

Geez, more heartbreak...

So it is a couple of years later and things have settled down. Fushi is becoming more and more human and everything seems like it is going into a positive direction. Just when love begins to bring two characters together the creature attacks Fushi at a party. All hell breaks loose and death...well it rears its ugly fucking head once more.

Poor Fushi being immortal lives through so much pain. Is this what life is? To show us that death is painful more for us than the people who die? It sure feels that way. With so much devasting moments we end on a more hopeful note turned into a brutal gladiator style arena fight. I love how wild this series jumps to different tones and eras.

A 4.5 out of 5.

Finally we get what we wanted, Shredder vs Splinter.

The first half has the brothers teaming up to take down Shredder's toughest enemies. I'll admit, this fight was cool, but I felt it ended the same way they all did. Then we get to Shredder vs Splinter and OH MAN is this shit awesome. The past, the history, and the last few pages were all glorious. Splinter just jumped up on my list of interesting characters.

And that ending? Yo what the fuck.

A 4 out of 5.

This one just wasn't as good as the last volume.

Someone steals Conner body and both Black Canary and Green Arrow head out to try and find out who would do such a terrible thing. As we get deeper into the investigation the more mystery builds up till finally the true evil appears or atleast is reveal. This is a big set up, part 1, to a bigger fallout story that'll probably play out in the next volume.

Good: The cartoony art still works well and I really enjoyed the fights and bickering between Oliver and Diana. I also enjoyed the cameos in here, they were both fun and a interesting way to spice things up.

Bad: Nothing major really happens. It feels a bit slow at points and not sure what the end result is going to be.

Overall, a decent chapter. A 3 out of 5.

Omni Man and Allen teaming up? Fuck yes.

Mark and Oliver teaming up? Hell YES!

Mark and Eve getting it on? WHOHOO!

Lots of great character building here. Watching Mark balance it all while having to come to terms with not trusting someone he DID trust was great. A real lesson learner as he's becoming more and more adult now. Also the fact Kirkman is spinning SO many plotlines at once and keeping up with giving us great focus on SO many characters is marvelous.

Ottley also really improves this volume as the fights get better and better as well. The emotional expressions are wonderful too, giving us some great moments.

The ending is so "holy shit" it is about to go down. A 4.5 out of 5.
