Didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. I still love the idea of what makes humans humans and such but the storyline seemed badly paced here. Like not much happened even when it was the same length as Volume 1-2 which moved at a perfect rate. Still checking out more!
I had a hard time really enjoying this game, whoops, I mean book. The dialog was poorly put together a lot of the time, throwing in 90's references because "why not", and really bad exposition. The idea of it all was intriguing but it felt like it was written by a guy who wants to be a nerd instead of a normal nerd. That or a guy who just thinks pointing out vast amounts of crappy shows/movies/games makes you somehow more "nerd-like" instead of giving us compelling ideas.
It's not all bad. After the first 100 pages it gets better, a lot better, but still falls for the same traps. Especially the dialog, so cringe worthy half the time. I recommend checking it out, you might enjoy it, but it didn't do it for me. Better luck next time Cline.

A satisfying ending to a really fun series. It puts a little bow tie on it all and makes me smile. Sure, I'd love a bigger risk but it still was fun to not only read but view. The final fight was both epic and beautiful at the same time. I overall really dug this volume, and while not my favorite, tied up loose ends.
So the return of the Joker should be one of my favorite moments. I was in the camp of loving death of the family. So when I read this I was slightly disappointed in it. I do love moments but the things that caught me off guard were the general pacing of the story and the Joker himself. I didn't fear the Joker. He just didn't come across as scary as he did in the DOTF. I also felt the beginning bit of justice league vs Batman was rushed and not well executed. I also thought the story jumped all over the place, losing it's pacing a bit too much.
I DID Love the ending. I thought it summed up the great fight of Batman vs Joker. I also loved the visuals as always, the artwork is the best around. And I did really love seeing Bat's family team up with a certain someone(s) to take down the Joker. All of that was a lot of fun. Just didn't love it but still solid. Next up!

A solid comic. Sure, Lex is pretty one dimensional. And yes, some of the drawing in the second half looks pretty crappy *Superman looks 90 years old sometimes* but it's overall good old fun. I like the way Superman deals with criticism in this. Makes the movies look like a joke in terms of character progression and actual superman mentality. I also LOVE some moments with humanity and how THIS Superman deals with it. Just perfect.
Also the fights are entertaining.
However, it does feel rushed. Should have been 10 issues. 5 dealing with kid Superman, 5 dealing with adult.
Still worth reading though if you want an enjoyable Superman origins.

More like a 4.5 but this is pretty damn close to being one of my favorite Batman stories. After many told me to check out such famous titles as Long Halloween or Killing Joke I was finally glad to stumble upon this one and fall nearly in love with the story line.
The pacing is damn near perfect. It starts exciting and stays that way. Someone is hunting Batman behind the scenes, using his Rogue Gallery to slowly tear apart the cape crusader. We bring in a few new characters but mostly keep the most famous of the famous, including Croc and Joker, and give us some life into the story.
The big reveal seemed obvious, and I liked the way they handled it, but I didn't love the idea spawning from it. Which would be the return of someone famous. I actually enjoyed this idea far better.
Either way amazing art, wonderful pacing, great fights, and perfect amount of issues, Hush is nearly the perfect Batman story in my eyes.

Making it very clear this is a strong 3, and this is a lot of fun to read. I won't go into details about the story just state what I disliked and loved.
Loved:
Hawkeye was great. Few stories give this man meaning.
Logen's backstory. Sad and tragic but good motivation.
Seeing Red Skull triumph over cap. Cap is my second fave hero but the moment was well done.
The final meet and greet with green rednecks.
What I didn't like:
Useless cameos. Doom, venom, daredevil.
Sometimes too gory.
End left open to make more money.
Overall super fun if not a little stupid.

An enjoyable book to a degree. I hated most of the character, it's hard to love them. They're bitchy, dumb, assholes, and much more. I think that's a good reflection of a lot of people in life though. Evil, manipulated, and straight up jerks. So it comes down to if you can stomach these type of people, and what they stand for.
The twist different feel forced or badly done, though I had gathered what would happen around page fifty, but it didn't hurt it. Just like Gone Girl, there's stories that have twist but aren't shoved down your throat to love. Just well done enough to give a extra boost to the story. Plus I did actually enjoy the scene itself, it was sad and frighten, and well handled.
Overall Luckiest Girl alive is both dark, moody, somewhat funny at times, and disgusting. A lot of pieces of shit swirl around in this world. Yet it shows humanity at it's lowest. You'll have to be able to get through themes and subject matters of rape, death, murder, and so on. If you can, this might be a good enough book for you to check out and maybe even enjoy.

Very strong volume. Just the right amount of drama and comedy. The ending is heartbreaking, can't wait for volume 5.
A better volume than the last, we deal with the deeper secrets in the serial killer village. However, what I loved most is getting outside of the town. Especially the ending, really got me pumped for the future. I think it's because I like the idea of this evil "town" verses just a regular one killer storyline. Can't wait for the next one.
