Ready Player One

I had a hard time really enjoying this game, whoops, I mean book. The dialog was poorly put together a lot of the time, throwing in 90's references because "why not", and really bad exposition. The idea of it all was intriguing but it felt like it was written by a guy who wants to be a nerd instead of a normal nerd. That or a guy who just thinks pointing out vast amounts of crappy shows/movies/games makes you somehow more "nerd-like" instead of giving us compelling ideas.
It's not all bad. After the first 100 pages it gets better, a lot better, but still falls for the same traps. Especially the dialog, so cringe worthy half the time. I recommend checking it out, you might enjoy it, but it didn't do it for me. Better luck next time Cline.
