Batman, Volume 7: Endgame
by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV
So the return of the Joker should be one of my favorite moments. I was in the camp of loving death of the family. So when I read this I was slightly disappointed in it. I do love moments but the things that caught me off guard were the general pacing of the story and the Joker himself. I didn't fear the Joker. He just didn't come across as scary as he did in the DOTF. I also felt the beginning bit of justice league vs Batman was rushed and not well executed. I also thought the story jumped all over the place, losing it's pacing a bit too much.
I DID Love the ending. I thought it summed up the great fight of Batman vs Joker. I also loved the visuals as always, the artwork is the best around. And I did really love seeing Bat's family team up with a certain someone(s) to take down the Joker. All of that was a lot of fun. Just didn't love it but still solid. Next up!
