Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb
4.0

More like a 4.5 but this is pretty damn close to being one of my favorite Batman stories. After many told me to check out such famous titles as Long Halloween or Killing Joke I was finally glad to stumble upon this one and fall nearly in love with the story line.

The pacing is damn near perfect. It starts exciting and stays that way. Someone is hunting Batman behind the scenes, using his Rogue Gallery to slowly tear apart the cape crusader. We bring in a few new characters but mostly keep the most famous of the famous, including Croc and Joker, and give us some life into the story.

The big reveal seemed obvious, and I liked the way they handled it, but I didn't love the idea spawning from it. Which would be the return of someone famous. I actually enjoyed this idea far better.

Either way amazing art, wonderful pacing, great fights, and perfect amount of issues, Hush is nearly the perfect Batman story in my eyes.
