I was a bit scared reading this because it's been awhile since read volume 1 and thought I'd be lost. I was, at first, forgetting who is who. But once get to the 2nd issue in this collection I began to piece together everyone again. Once I did...fuck this is good!!!

So the two big companies are about to go to war. IO and Skywatch are just not friendly to each other, and this volume is them coming to blows in a almost anticlimatic way because it's not all bang bang, boom boom, it's stealing files and ruining their companies. Sounds silly, right? Except when you start fucking with their stuff then they send people to kill each other. In the background have our heroes, if you want to call them that, and they decide to fuck BOTH Skywatch and IO. This brings basically a three-way war into the middle of it all.

Good: The art is great, especially those action scenes. Sweet sweet, AMAZING, action scenes. I also loved the hell out of the dialogue. Multiple times I got chuckles and laughs from the interaction between the characters. The intriguing build up to the "war" is always interesting and never feels like Ellis is talking down to anyone. That ending...damn...

Bad: It is ALOT. Maybe too much for some. And I do recommend reading volume 1 again or for the first time before reading this one.

Overall, goddamn, I am really digging wild storm. I really gotta go back and read Authority and such but this is so damn fun. A 4 out of 5.

I dunno why they are doing this as a "Batman vs Deathstroke" volume instead of just naming in Deathstroke volume 6. Ugh...

Anyhow, Damien's father. Who is he? Someone has sent Bruce some papers proving Damien is Slade's son. So the Batman decides to change down deathstroke and find out what the fuck is up. Deathstroke and Batman go to war, both filled with tons of resources, and both fully pissed at each other for fucking with each other's life. The ending results in a flawed but pretty fun little arc.

Good: The art stays consistent and really well done. I thought Damien and Slade teaming up was both fun and silly. I also enjoyed seeing Batman and Slade teaming up a bit at the end. The funny lines, especially, and surprisingly from Batman, had some great self reflecting moments of burns throughout the arc.

Bad: The story is a bit dumb and over the top. I mean, they could have talked this out and be done with it all quickly. I also thought the ending, very ending, was not very well done and kind of made the whole thing pointless.

Overall, it's fun for sure. It's not deep or as impactful as the last volume, but it's good none the less if like both characters. A 3 out of 5.

So it's insane I never even heard of this series. I've been reading comics for a LONG time but some I just never heard of. Buddy of mine told me this is Alan Moore's top 3 most talked about series next to V and Watchmen. Well damn, I had to jump on and read it.

So this starts off with a very goofy 50's superhero issue. Super cheesy and what you'd expect from comics written then. We then flip to the 80's and learn our hero is reborn! Michael Moran thought he was just a regular dude living his life with his wife. Then one day he mutters the words and becomes Miracleman! Very similar to Shazam, but with this story we take some dark turns. Very very dark and twisted turns.

Good: Really dug the feel of this comic. The look into superheroes and how screwed up it can become when it's all "a facade" for someone and he's actually an experiment of sorts. The villain here is really screwed up and loved how Miracleman, the hero of the story, gets his shit wrecked so quick. The lengthy dialogue for the most part actually has great moments and it's well written.

Bad: It is long-winded though. Heavy on exposition and dialogue boxes might turn some away. Also, the added on warpath or whatever issue is dull and stupid, skip it if you ask me. Adds nothing to the main story.

Overall, this is a really screwed up comic in a lot of ways but I was intrigued the whole time. Time to check out volume 2 and onward! A 4 out of 5.

This was a surprise! Not bad!

So what's up with the X-Men? Well this is after Fraction's run, which I did NOT like, and what leads up to Bendis run (which I do like). Sinister is the main villain here and he begins to do what he normally does...talk way to fucking much. He makes a whole army of himselves because, well why not, most villains do this atleast once or twice. The Uncanny X-Men here are filled with darker x-men such as Magneto, Namor, and even cyclops is turning that way. By the end you have the X-Men facing off against Sinister while also getting ready for gods to come down from space to take over the world.

Good: I actually thought the dialogue was really strong. The chemistry between this more rogue/dark team is pretty great. I liked to see cyclops be a true leader and have actual plans when fighting. Each X-Men has a moment to shine, which is nice. I also thought the build up to a "darker" version of X-Men works well as Cyclops demands they install fear into the public's mind if they don't want to accept them.

Bad: Sinister is about as scary as...poop? I know. A silly word. But really, you never are scared or think this guy might win. Even Namor with his "I hate this guy now" knows what's up. Also, this volume is very short. I think it's only like 4 issues.

Overall, a pretty fun start. It's not mindblowing but it is solid, more than I expected. Kieron gives good voice to a lot of these characters. A 3.5 out of 5.

Super Sons finishes just as strong as it started. I'll miss you two, despite knowing there's more tales you guys will spin.

So, what's this final arc about? Is it the end of the world? Is it doom and gloom? Nope! It's Damien dealing with his mother and then the kid villain from the first volume makes a return to face off against jon and damien. There's also a annual issue that features, oh yeah you guessed it, SUPER PETS! What happens when Krypto, Bat-hound, Bat-cow, and all the other super pets team up to save their animal friends?

Good: The colorful world is still amazing to travel to. The fights are epic, mostly thanks to two different fighting styles from the kids. The dialogue is fun and cheerful, giving a heartfelt atmosphere throughout. I enjoyed the superpets issue a lot and some great laughs to be had there.

Bad: The kid villain is kind of annoying. I never liked him all that much.

Overall, a very satisfying goodbye until next time. I'd love more and more but for now, we got some great material! A 4 out of 5.

The original 5 are finally heading back to their time, but is it done well?

So somebody has come to kill the original five. If they do it will change the history and completely change the events of the future. However, there's also someone going around kidnapping the original five as well. Two players going after the originals, while the rest of the X-Men group is protecting them all, or least trying.

Good: The twist on who was kidnapping the x-men was pretty cool and could end up having some cool moments. The tension and pacing is good, never slowing, and never boring. The art is solid and there's some excellent fight scenes.

Bad: The ending is kind of a simple reset button that feels done too many times, especially in X-Men. How easily the X-Men kept getting their asses kicked seemed odd.

Overall, brisk pacing, and fun action scenes, this is a decent little mini-event to say goodbye to the original five. A 3 out of 5.

Spencer & Locke is a dark, cartoony looking, semi-depressing story that you should read.

So what's it about? A detective is on a mission to find out what happened to a girl he once knew. The story goes down a dark path of seeing how Spencer grew up and his life style. Abused, sexually abused as well, and pretty much treated like shit with a slight mental disorder on top of it all. So getting his past through these 4 issues while dealing with a murder mystery turned gun-shoot out, it's pretty intense.

Good: Really dug the design of everyone. Especially the flashback scenes. I thought the pacing was extremely quick and entertaining (read this whole thing in 15 minutes). I felt such a sadness for our hero because of his horrible past. His partner was the shit.

Bad: Everything felt like it just happened because...plot. Like everything felt in line a bit too much and everyone being connected was a bit far fetched. The art is good but nothing to write home about.

Overall, a really entertaining, one shot series (I don't think there will be more). Well worth checking out! A 3.5 out of 5.

A very slowburn that EXPLODES by the end.

So this is the volume we really get to know about the history of everything. How Harrow County was created, where Emmy's mom disappeared to, what happen to Hester to make her the way she was, and much more. These other "witches" or "gods" whatever you want to call them tell their tales and try to push Emmy to their side. This results in one big ass mistake.

Good: Loved the hell out of the last issue. It's slow build up to this moment is wonderful. Emmy's major character growth, both through mental and psychical, is awesome. I also thought the return of one artist help flow this volume a lot better. Learning how truly evil Hester was is both fascinating and a bit scary.

Bad: The start is a bit slow, and the exposition dumb can be a bit much at times.

Overall, a nice return to a 4 star rating for me. Harrow County continues to prove Cullen Bunn can do great things when not writing Marvel.

Buffy keeps chugging along in season 9 with good tales that could be great.

So this time we have a situation we've seen so many times, someone is pregnant! Yep, this is a good way to stir the drama. However, it is building towards a interesting side of things and what to do with the pregnancy. Before Buffy could decide what to do we have a huge reveal that kind of changes everything about the storyline. By the we resulted in a "will I ever be happy" feel and going towards maybe a new idea of what Buffy should do.

Good: I actually thought the drama with the baby was good, and asked a great question. Spike worked well here and I liked him a lot for once. With the art getting better (not sure if new artist) the fight scenes look better too.

Bad: The twist kind of threw the more emotional and down to earth story right out the window. I also thought the villain feels so weak in compared to what this series usually has to offer.

Overall, enjoyable, but middle of the road stuff. As expected with season 9, least it's better than the 2nd half of season 8. A 3 out of 5.

Multiple Man is BACK! Or is he? Matthew Rosenberg might answer those questions for you here.

So Multiple Man is about Jamie returning to the spotlight. To get the leader of X-Factor back into all our lives. Right off the bat you're introduced to a dupe who survived even though the prime Jamie has died. In doing so he goes to the future to try to change things, and we all know X-men and the future jump forward and jump back can only mean one thing...we're in for a trippy ass adventure.

Good: The twist and turns are usually always fun and over the top. I can promise this, you won't see atleast some of these things coming. I thought the humor was spot on, and reminded me why I loved Jamie so much. The art did it's job, everyone looked pretty good.

Bad: I didn't love the ending. I get it, and it comes and goes as easy as this series started. Answers are left in the wind, hoping that you might return later. Also, the jumping into different time lines can get silly.

Overall, a little fun mini. I didn't love it liked I hoped but with Rosenberg's fun dialogue and never boring plot, it's atleast always fun. A 3 out of 5.
