Spencer & Locke is a dark, cartoony looking, semi-depressing story that you should read.

So what's it about? A detective is on a mission to find out what happened to a girl he once knew. The story goes down a dark path of seeing how Spencer grew up and his life style. Abused, sexually abused as well, and pretty much treated like shit with a slight mental disorder on top of it all. So getting his past through these 4 issues while dealing with a murder mystery turned gun-shoot out, it's pretty intense.

Good: Really dug the design of everyone. Especially the flashback scenes. I thought the pacing was extremely quick and entertaining (read this whole thing in 15 minutes). I felt such a sadness for our hero because of his horrible past. His partner was the shit.

Bad: Everything felt like it just happened because...plot. Like everything felt in line a bit too much and everyone being connected was a bit far fetched. The art is good but nothing to write home about.

Overall, a really entertaining, one shot series (I don't think there will be more). Well worth checking out! A 3.5 out of 5.
