I enjoyed this, but not as much as I thought I would. I've really been attracted to short story anthologies recently. But, I haven't ever read an anthology of stories written the same person. It was really an interesting experience. I would say that I liked some of the stories but I wasn't in love with any of them. There is one character that comes back three times throughout the book and it took me halfway through the stories to realize that it was the same character. I enjoyed this, but it didn't really do anything for me.

3.5/5 stars.

I was never required to read this book when I was in middle or high school so I thought that I would see what everyone was talking about. I read the first half in physical form, then put it down when school started up again. Then, I picked it up as an audio book and that's how I ended up finishing the book. There is a recurring theme that happens for me when I read books that one usually reads while in school. That is: I really wish that I could have read it with a class so than I could analyze it. I love reading books in a class setting because I believe I understand a lot more from certain books that way. I enjoyed this story. However, I think I would have enjoyed it more in class setting.

3.5/5 stars.

This one was a really interesting read for me. It was split up into three different end of the word scenarios that were all connected to each other in one way or another. I did not understand this at first. I absolutely LOVED the first story. I thought that the whole book was going to be that story and I was super excited about that. However, when it switched to the second story I was SUPER confused. I had to look up a synopsis of the book to completely understand what was happening. Once I got past that, I found myself comparing everything I read to the very beginning of the story. And, unfortunately, none of the other stories were as good as the first one in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, they were interesting, but the first one was just so captivating.

I haven't read a book like this one in a really long time. It was incredibly refreshing to be able to read something that was captivating and adventurous. I'm really glad that I read it. It's the best book I've read so far this summer!

Whoa.

I've never read a play like this.

Never in my life have a read a play that left me audibly gasping trying to understand what was going to happen next. Did I love it? I'm not sure. But, it was a much more interesting read than I thought it was going to be. So much happened in this play I am still trying to wrap my head around it. However, the thing that stood out the most to me were the conversations that were had by the characters. Specifically in the second act, in my opinion, there were some conversations had that were really uncomfortable for the characters. It was super interesting to see how each character reacted to the conversation. I was super all over the place about it.

I most definitely am going to have see this play live. If I was this shook over reading the play, I'm pretty sure I would be losing my marbles watching it live. I also think that the first act would make a little more sense to me live. I enjoyed it, but I had a little bit of a hard time connecting it to all of the amazingness of the second act. This is probably the most enjoyable full length play I've read it a while. Yay plays!

2.5/5 stars.

This one was super interesting. I read it because my school is going to be doing a play that is inspired by this one in the fall. I'm not quite sure if I can say that I enjoyed reading it, but I'm really interested to see what my school is going to do with it. Especially with what's happening in the world right now.

Reread June 2017

I wanted to reread this one because I really enjoyed it in high school. I enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would. Still a great book though :)

I didn't think I would like this very much but I did! I learned a lot. Very influential and enlightening. :)

I did not expect to enjoy this one as much as I did! I really enjoyed watching these characters and their journey throughout this play. I would REALLY love to see this one live. I would love to see what happens when this play comes to life. Hopefully I'll get to watch it live in my future!

This was a super interesting one. I think that I would love to be in a talk back after this one. I definitely want to have a conversation about this one with someone at some point.

I've read this play many times. Now, I am rereading because I am doing a scene for it in my theatre class :)

I had the overwhelming pleasure of seeing this play live last year. It was one of my favorite productions that I've ever seen. Reading it is a completely different experience, but it's a good one. I would love to see another production of this play because this is one of those plays that will look completely different every time it's put on.
