This was surprisingly enjoyable. I definitely think the key to my enjoying this was the audiobook. I listened to this instead of reading it and I thought it was great. It definitely wasn't the best thing that I have ever read, but I did enjoy it a lot more that I thought I would.
Thank goodness I'm done with this book!
I picked this up because I remembered a friend in high school recommended it to me. I went into this one blind because I remembered being so very excited about it in high school. But, it feel extremely flat for me. I really don't understand what I just read. What was the point? I feel like maybe I need to read an analysis guid of this or something because it just did not sit well with me at all.

I was super excited for this one because I've been through some similar experiences as the author. However, the book felt more like an information dump than an emotional dump. Not my favorite.
The world has a need for books like this one. It is so very important that children read about people from all walks of life and experiences so than they can know that all life should be valued. If children are fed the same narratives all the time, they will believe that narratives that are different from that one are not normal. I hope in my future I'll be able to read this book out loud to a classroom without it being "too much" for the children.
I'm going to be cleaning out my closet soon and this book is going to be my guide! :)

I forgot how amazing this book is. Listening to the audiobook really just reminded me how much I loved it. If you ever get the chance to listen to the audiobook, do it because it's absolutely amazing. I love Charlie. I love this book. I will definitely listen to it again.

Hmmm. This is a really hard one. I did really enjoy this book and it was amazing but, it was not the most amazing thing ever. I think I would give it a 4.85, or something around there. It's not quite a 5 though. I think it's one of those books that I have to let simmer for a little bit before I can think about my complete thoughts. Gah...really, this is hard. Great book.
Edit: (Like five minutes after writing the first one) So I thought about it and I could only think of it like this: There are certain books out there that you love, and I mean REALLY LOVE but you can't give it a 5. It's frustrating, completely frustrating. But still, you can't do it. Why? Why can't you do it? Because these books are usually emotionally draining. They pick up your heart and throw it down thousands of times. There are books like this that you have to give a 5 but most of the time the ones you can't give a 5 to are blunt. Rude, nasty, gross and sometimes even disgusting. They hurt. You just have to dock them down for doing that to you. But, in some odd way, that's the way the book is supposed to be. It doesn't have to be a 5 star to be perfect because it's not. It's not perfect at all, it's reality.

This is how I feel about this book.
This was cute. It's not something that I would read to a whole class, but I did enjoy it.
BOOKTUBEATHON 2017 BOOK #1
I have no idea why but I had a really difficult time following the prose in this book. There were definitely beautiful images but I found myself getting very confused. It's probably a me thing. Maybe I'll read it again.

BOOKTUBEATHON 2017 Book #3
The final book I was able to listen to for the booktubeathon. I really enjoyed this book. I am super glad that I listened to this book as opposed to reading it because I think it would have taken me a lot longer to read it if I would have read it. I enjoyed following the boys and getting to know who they are as people. I got connected to them and the family that they made. Overall, a great book!

I've said it once, I'll say it again: I LOVE LARA JEAN!
As long as Jenny Han puts out books about Lara Jean and her family, I will read them. Unfortunately, this was the last book in the series. I'm not upset or anything. It was a wonderful conclusion to this story. I love following Lara Jean through her last year of High School. I loved catching up with her family. I really fell in love with these characters over the course of reading these books. My hat is off to Jenny Han, these books are amazing <3
