I might come back to this before it has to go back to the library, but probably won't. It reads like it's for a much younger audience than it's supposed to be.  If I wanted ATLA, I would have just watched that again.  

This was a whimsical take on cannibalism, but the title honestly spoils the whole premise. I checked it out of my library's digital collection, but it's free to read on Tor's website. 

This book has me in my feelings in a way I can't really articulate. 

I so rarely give things five stars upon first reads, but I loved every single thing about this little book, and am dying for the next volume. The art was stunning, the story was wonderful, the colours were absolutely incredible (and it was SO gay). I can't wait for my 12y/o to read it and start drawing fanart. All the stars. 

I enjoyed the second person tense, but was not really interested in the actual story.  

I want to just curl up inside the thorax of this book.  

Just generally a slog. 

This had no right being as good as it was. 

Oh, Wowbagger. It kind of boggles the mind that he's been insulting everyone for as long as he has (which is something I would probably do for two hours, then give up on cos fuck all that work), but if he insulted Arthur 2,000,000 years in the past and JUST got to the Ks in the 1200s (CE), why was he trying to insult Arthur again at Lord's?

Did he fuck up and have to start over? Did he insult everyone and decide to do it again for funsies?

These are the things I think about.
