holy shit that was fucking amazing.
“There will be boys who will tell you you’re beautiful, but only a few will see you.”
“Petey read this book over and over. Not because she liked it, but because she kept waiting for the story to change, kept waiting for the day she’d turn the page and a woman would get to go to the husband store. She kept waiting for justice. But, of course, the story never changed. She never got justice. If Petey were keeping one of her lists of the things she hated, she would have to add: the fact that there was no justice. But The Wife Store was still on her shelf at home, if only to remind her that there were assholes in the world who would write such things, believe such things.”
“I remember looking in the mirror when I was little and thinking, Who are you supposed to be?”
“You have ruined yourself. No one will want you now.”
“Then I don’t want them,” said Roza”
That was a treat from start to finish. Bone Gap is a beautiful, well-written, magical book containing three dimensional characters and immensely strong female characters. I yep-ed so hard while reading this. 5/5 stars!

Sir Simon, the ghost who haunted the house was famous for giving frights to its previous owner and guests. But when an American family moved into the house and he put 'blood' in the carpet to scare them, they only cleaned the carpet using a stained remover. When he showed up to scare them away, they only made a comment about his rusty chains and offered to help him oil it. The Americans just don't give a fuck about poor Sir Simon's scariness and the ghost quickly became dejected and sad. Plus with all the bullying he received from the twins! Here he is, the most frightening ghost with all his accomplishments, and yet this family ignored him. Poor ghost! A very hilarious short read in my opinion!
I started listening to WTNV podcast in 2013 and I loved it. I’m a huge fan of weird, ominous, dark stories and WTNV have that. On the plus size, it’s fucking hilarious. After a while I stopped listening to the podcast though (somehow I couldn’t download it on my podcast app anymore?) and when the book came out I just know I Have To Own This. I mean, just look at that cover. It’s so beautiful.
I was pretty disappointed when I started reading this book because it’s not about Cecile and Carlos (I ship ‘em, i’m weak for cute boys). But then I’m not complaining. We get not one, but two strong female characters in this book. One is a mother, the other one is a teenage girl forever stuck in the age of 19 (forever young, indeed). There is no silly love interest in this book which is a plus. And like always we get the cool and weird plot and supporting characters. A house that could think, paper that could get stuck in your hand, the mysterious King City, the ominous advertising, and the most fun, the scary librarians. There’s also a mysterious man in the tan jacket that no one could remember the name of, the duplicating troys, and the angels. It’s definitely a fun book to read. 3/5 stars.

The art is so beautiful and the writing made me angsty as fuck. I ship Steve and Tony so much, I even helicarrier it, fucking hell.
If i said that this book is unnecessary I’m sure I’m going to get attacked by a bunch of people so I’m not going to say it. I even feel bad for even thinking it, to be honest. When I read Me Before You I was completely blown away. I mean it was one of those romance books that doesn’t make you cringe or want to claw your eyes out. The main character, Louisa, is strong as hell and she’s super hilarious. She became a carer for Will Traynor, a quadriplegic, and extremely bitter man. In MBY Will Traynor chose to die with dignity rather than continuing to live like they way he did. It was extremely sad in the end and I bawled like crazy. I thought that was it. Then this book came out and i was like ??? But Will died??? But of course that was a wrong thinking. The main character is Louisa in MBY and just because Will died, so what? Her life carries on. Though, yes, it’s hard to carry on even for us readers because let’s be real, Will Traynor was such an amazing character, we all miss him and it’s just not the same without him.
In After You, Louisa moves on with her life. She works as a bartender, lives alone, not dating anyone, and positively depressed. Louisa was stuck in a ditch. Then one day she fell off a building and her life changed, yet again. She met a guy, she went to a group therapy, and then there’s that matter with WIll’s daughter (“what the hell, Maddy!” you might say. Well, go on and read the book. Sorry I spoiled this bit for you, but you might need it for the motivation!), and then she got another job in New York. Some people might say that this is one of those unnecessary sequel, but damn it I think it is. It’s an aftermath book, not as much fun, true, but hey, that’s real life.

Really didn't care about the plot nor the writing. It wasn't a very memorable read.
