Before I start this review, I would just like to point out how beautiful those acknowledgements were. I never thought reading the acknowledgments of a book would make me cry but here we are.

Ok so. I don't even know where to possibly begin with this book. I don't really have much to say other than Once & Future is everything I could ever possibly want in a book, which is exactly what I said about the last Amy Rose Capetta book I read. Amy Rose Capetta, you are officially one of my top three favourite authors in the whole world, right up there with Maggie Stiefvater and Emily Skrutskie. And I'm now also forever in love with Cori McCarthy, I need to start reading their other books immediately. A huge, massive thank you to these two for giving me such wonderful queer characters that don't end in tragedy, found families, sci-fi AND fantasy mixed into the same book, the kind of humour that I love the most, a story about a universe of people revolting against capitalism, and so much more. I would very much like to find Excalibur and use it to blast my way to the future so I can read the sequel to this right now. Seriously though 2020 can't come fast enough.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go sob into a pillow thinking about this beautiful world and the magical characters who inhabit it for the rest of my life.

This is SO FREAKING CUTE please let me sit in this world of gay princesses forever, nowhere else can ever make me happy again

I loved almost everything about this, the characters are fantastic, I love the humour and the relationships between all the characters, the setting is gorgeous, it’s all spectacular. The only thing, as many others have pointed out, is the pacing is waaay off. It’s extremely quick, and I was genuinely shocked when the narrator of the audiobook started reading out the acknowledgments. The ending didn’t feel like an ending at all, and the book probably could have used another 20 pages at least. But regardless, I still absolutely adored this!

These Witches Don't Burn: ★★★★★
This Coven Won't Break: ★★★

Fully forgot to leave a review for this one but WOW THIS WAS SO GOOD!!

Sapphic witches is a genre that I need way more of in my life, and These Witches Don't Burn was just such a fantastic example of it. Absolutely adored every page and I'm DYING for the sequel!!

I had a whole ass review planned for this one and then I completely blanked and forget everything I was going to say about it so I'll leave it at that lmfao

I’ve spent the last couple days trying to find the words to describe this book. I’ve decided that there aren’t any. Five stars could never be enough. This book is poetry, it’s art, it’s magic, and it’s without a doubt a new favourite. Spellbook of the Lost and Found is one that I’m sure will stay with me for a long time; I could feel it lodge itself into my heart and soul from the very first sentence. I listened to the audiobook, and when I first hit play I actually had to start it over and listen to the first couple sentences a few times just to be able to take in how beautiful they were. I truly can’t find the words to describe the beauty of this book, you’ll just have to read it yourself!

This is a book that I’d recommend going into knowing little to nothing about it! Don’t read spoilers, reviews, or even the blurb first. Just dive right in and get sucked into the magic

3.5 stars

The first half of this book was as so many people say: a complete snooze, boring even though there are things going on, not much to it. It was beautiful and atmospheric, the setting was gorgeous, I liked the characters, and the plot seemed to be interesting enough. But for some reason I still couldn't get into it. I actually ended up putting it down for about 4 months without any immediate plans to return to it. It wasn't a DNF, but I definitely didn't want to be reading it at the time.

Then I don't know what happened, but 2 nights ago I randomly decided to pick it back up and read a couple pages to see how I felt, and I ended up falling completely in love? In all honesty, I think it's almost entirely because it takes place in Montenegro and I'm planning on going there soon, so I couldn't get enough of it because of the setting. But even so, the plot was all of a sudden really interesting to me as well and I actually ended up really enjoying it. I'll definitely be reading the second book (not any time soon most likely, but I'll still read it eventually).

3.5 stars

I'll admit, I was relatively bored by Lord of Shadows for the majority of it. I would probably really like it if it weren't for Emma and Julien; their romance is just so angsty and annoying and tbh it completely ruined the book for me. I absolutely love Mark, Kieran, and Christina. Ty, Livvy, and Kit were pretty ok. Diana and Gwyn stole my heart <3 But then it switches to Julien or Emma and the whole chapter is just them pining after each other instead of focusing on all the dangerous shit that's happening around them and I get mad. I like them both as individual characters, especially Julien and his fierce love for his family, but the second he looks at Emma he completely loses me. So because of those two, this book went from a 4.5 to a 3.5 It would have been 3 but THAT ENDING THOUGH. WHAT. OH MY GOD ??? I'm really glad I ordered Lord of Shadows and Queen of Air and Darkness at the same time because I need to read the next book like right now

Alright so I may have forgotten to review this book for over a year IT'S FINE. I'm awful at this wow

ANYWAYS

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO SO SO MUCH! Monty and Percy are two of my favourite characters to ever exist and I swear I'll love them until the end of time.
This book is so important, there are a great number of topics that Lee discusses throughout the book and does so in a really beautiful way. My heart hurt for all three of the main characters for different reasons. Lee did a fantastic job of discussing issues that were relevant to the time but also making them relevant to the present.

There's not much else to say about this book other than how absolutely incredible it is, 100% recommend reading it. The only reason it got 4 stars was because I was expecting this to be a pirate book, so I was a little let down at the lack of pirates lmfao

Ok but there's going to be a third book right..? Please??

I'm horrible at remembering to review books in a timely manner but here we are, a year and a half later, finally getting around to it

All I have to say is

PLEASE READ THIS SERIES IT'S HANDS DOWN ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITES OF ALL TIME AND I'LL NEVER GET OVER HOW MUCH I LOVE IT

Ok that's it bye

Yeah so I'm not even going to bother reviewing this properly. I hated this book, every second of it. It was 2.5 stars when I first read it but now, 8 months later, I'm still pissed off at what Green did and I can't even remember the probably 2 things that I liked about it so I'm changing it to 1 star. I wish I hadn't read this book. I wish I had just stopped reading after book 2 while I still loved the series. All this book did was make me lose the love I had for the series and ensure that I'll never read another book by Sally Green. I'm sick of the narrative LGBTQ+ characters get in books/movies/TV shows/literally everything and I can't believe Sally Green decided to go with that same narrative that is such an insult to the LGBTQ+ community. This used to be one of my favourite series every. I'm sad and pissed off that it ended this way.
