Thank you Minotaur and NetGalley for the eARC of Of Manners and Murder! All opinions in this review are my own.
This is a great start to the new historical mystery series! I loved the Dear Miss Hermoine angle and I can't wait to see how that factors into future mysteries!
The mystery itself kept me guessing until the end! I liked how the author presented a list of suspects right from the beginning so you were already suspicious of certain characters. I liked how everything came together at the end of the novel.
However, I wasn't a huge fan of the cut scenes that followed Violet's sister Sephora. Luckily, it all makes sense by the end, but I liked Violet much more than her sister so the interspersed chapters were something to just get through in order to get back to the real mystery.
Overall, this is a quick cozy mystery and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series!
Thank you Love Book Tours and Hera Books for the gifted ebook of The Mysterious Double Death of Honey Black! All opinions in this review are my own.
The title of this mystery immediately grabbed my attention! I also loved the old Hollywood setting that the main character is eventually thrust into! I am used to being able to fly through mysteries so the slower pace of this one was a change. I like how the main character has to race against the clock to try to solve Honey Black's death before it happens!

While I missed Fiona Davis's trademark style of switching between two stories in different timelines, the lack of it did not hurt The Spectacular in any way! It is difficult to choose a favorite since I have enjoyed all of her books, but The Spectacular may be just slighly ahead of the others. I was immediately drawn into Marion's story and the glamour of Radio City Music Hall made it difficult to put down! I love that I always learn something new about New York City from Davis and I can't wait to see where she takes us next!

I binged this audiobook in two days because I just had to find out what happened next! While definitely not my favorite Taylor Jenkins Reid book, it is worth a read for its intriguing storyline!

Thank you Harper Perennial and NetGalley for the eARC of Bookworm! All opinions in this review are my own.
I fully understand why some people wouldn't like this book. At first, I was on the edge of DNFing it but I had to know where all of the characters would end up at the conclusion of the book. While the characters are not likable, I was still fascinated by them and their actions. The main character's inner thoughts do get a little gory at times but it was interesting to see how she got to that point. The ending redeemed a lot of the book's faults and I enjoyed how it all came together.
This book is definitely not for everyone and you need to be prepared to read about miserable people, but I did like it more than I thought I would.
I wanted to like this book so much but after an hour of listening to it, I realized I liked hearing Tom Hanks talk more than the story.

Thank you William Morrow and BiblioLifestyle for the gifted copy of Murder on the Orient Express: The Graphic Novel! All opinions in this review are my own.
I have previously listened to the audiobook of Murder on the Orient Express so I was familiar with the premise but couldn't remember details about the mystery.
The graphic novel format really lended itself to one of Christie's famous mysteries. When it is a closed door mystery and there are a lot of characters introduced at once, it can be hard to tell them apart later. Because it was a graphic novel, you have the pictures to help differentiate between the characters. I also like how the evidence was visually shown, especially when they were reviewing the case towards the end.
Overall, the graphic novel was a great way to read Christie's Murder on the Orient Express and I can't wait to read more of her novels in this format!

Thank you Berkley Romance for the giveaway win of Ana Maria and The Fox! All opinions in this review are my own.
This is the first book in the Luna Sisters series and I am already hooked! While this is a romance, I wasn't even that focused on the romance until the last third of the book. I really liked the characters and the time period of when it was set. The sisters each have their own distinct personality and I can't wait to read each of their stories!
While I was reading Ana Maria and The Fox, I realized that I didn't know that much about this time period. Being based in the United States, most of what we learn about during this time is the Civil War. I had no idea that French occupied Mexico during this time and the Author's Note at the end was really interesting!

Thank you Berkley Romance for the giveaway win of Love, Theoretically! All opinions in this review are my own.
First of all, I really need to stop reading academia romances. They are just not for me. That being said, after awhile I did get into Love, Theoretically. While Elsie is kind of exhausting at first, she grows so much by the end of the book! I also really like Jack and how much he pushes her to advocate for herself. Plus, I like the inclusion of the fake dating trope but not in a way you would expect!

Thank you Love Book Tours for the gifted ebook of The Family Secret! All opinions in this review are my own.
After reading The Christmas Party, I had to find out what happened to the Bailey sisters and kept reading! The Family Secret starts out only a few weeks after the events in The Christmas Party so it is very important to read this series in order!
I like that The Family Secret continued with tellling the story through multiple characters's points of view. Now that I knew the characters better, I had to find out what would happen by the end of the book!
