This is the first book in the Luna Sisters series and I am already hooked!  While this is a romance, I wasn't even that focused on the romance until the last third of the book.  I really liked the characters and the time period of when it was set.  The sisters each have their own distinct personality and I can't wait to read each of their stories!

While I was reading Ana Maria and The Fox, I realized that I didn't know that much about this time period.  Being based in the United States, most of what we learn about during this time is the Civil War.  I had no idea that French occupied Mexico during this time and the Author's Note at the end was really interesting!
