This is the third instalment of the Rosie series and Don, now with a wife and child, is back to his problem solving ways.
While I loved being back in the middle of Don Tillman’s antics I didn't love this book. That doesn't mean that i didn't like it, I did like it, I really enjoyed the familiarity of the characters, the fun interactions/ mishaps and the new family dynamic but I didn't love it. It was nice to see what the characters where up to now and is a perfect Sunday chill read but you wont be left with the warm feeling that you got after finishing book 1!
One great thing about this book is the real questioning of the way society feels the need to label everything and if this actually has a positive or negative impact on an individual.

Emoni is still in school and a very naturally talented chef so when a chef programme starts at her school she signs up. But Emoni is not like the other girls in her class, she has a young daughter and responsibilities. She knows that it’s not worth her time to pursue the impossible but what if...
This was a great read that opened my eyes to multiple issues such as cooking being in someone blood and heritage and what's behind big ornate buildings and statues isn't always as glorious as it seems.
It was a young adult read which meant I read it one sitting and was left with a happy feeling once I had finished.

Was gifted this book by a friend and I am blown away by it.
Gorgeous pictures with uplifting sentiments, this book is the ideal Christmas present for anyone in need of a little boost.

This books starts in 1906, with a young, pregnant girl running away to work in a toy shop after seeing an advert:

This is the story of Laurie who sees the love of her life on a bus journey home one December evening and the following ten years.
I found myself completely drawn in right from the start, not because I fell in love with it but because I had such strong opinions about what the characters should be doing and where I thought it was going. I really enjoyed progressing with the characters over the ten years and that ending was just movie worthy!
I read this in a buddy read and we all agreed that the biggest love story in this book is actually between the two friends Laurie and Sarah.
I did find the love at first sight element unrealistic (it actually made me role my eyes) but the rest of the story more than made up for that! Also if your saving this for a Christmas read then you needn't bother. Other than their eyes meeting *eye roll* through a bus window in December, there isn't much else Christmassy about the book.

This is the story of a family at Christmas. It is written from multiple points of views and tells you each of the characters back stories whilst moving through a few days of Christmas in real time.
I enjoyed the book but it did just feel like a Christmas episode of a soap drama. There wasn't anything stand-outish, hilariously funny or super romantic about it so I am not sure why this book is so highly raved about, maybe I am missing something or maybe I have just over done it with Christmas reads this year and so have come down a little harsh on this one. Either way I don't think I will be reading the rest of the series.

This is the the story of two people who are destined to be together but keep missing each other.
So let’s address the obvious, this is not an original idea, it has been done countless times before BUT I don’t feel like that took away from the story, if anything I liked it, you knew where it was head which made a perfect easy read and who doesn’t love a love story!!
At first I really struggled to like the characters and almost gave up (hence the four not five stars!) but by about 30% in i was completely invested in them both and had to keep reading. There are no big surprises or shock twists at the end but it leaves you with a smile on your face which for me is enough!

Ten years ago, Jess's mother was murdered by the Magpie Man. She was the first of his victims but not the last. Now Jess is the star of a YouTube reality series and she's using it to catch the killer once and for all. The whole world is watching her every move.
And so is the Magpie Man.
This was a brilliant young adult thriller which I devoured in a single sitting!
I really enjoyed Ralph’s comments on society and the fact that day five was just a test to see if people would hours of nothing just to see if there was a twist revealed.
I did not guess who the Magpie Man, which for me was a bonus as I have guessed the ending to a few of the big thrillers, such as the silent patient, this year.
