No words can even sum this up!

Heartstopper Vol 4

Another beautiful print edition of the burgeoning love and drama surrounding Nick and Charlie and the growth of their relationship.

This was the first version I've actually read in print, having read chapters 1-4 of the Web comic already via Alice Oseman's website.

Seeing the graphics at full page size, the beauty in the facial expressions and body language is really a different experience and after this I will definitely be buying the first three Volumes.

In this volume, Nick and Charlie are riding the wave of the bravery they expressed in V3, but this leads to a little uncertainty and insecurity in their relationship and with their peers.

As the volume unfolds, family tensions rise (as is the teenage norm!), but can their relationship, Charlie's self confidence and Nick's growing certainty in his sexuality endure?

Impeccable.

Five stars.

This collection of poetry describing femininity, societal expectations and the role of women totally exceeded my expectations.

The poetry was punchy, vibrant and hard hitting, making me consider and check my privilege, think of strings that connect me to the poet and also reflect on my own experenxe.

My favourite thing about this poem was the aloof criticism and segments taken from the writer's past presented to the reader for a modern reader's immersion.

I would thoroughly recommend picking this up and exploring it for at least two or three reads - I promise you will get something different every time.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This novel has a fantastic range of personality types when it comes to characteristics and a reader can truly get lost in the settings and the variety of environments the travelling group makes their way to.

The characters are written so you can truly get behind them and the magical element of the novel isn't so unbelievable that you can't suspend your reality. The romance slow burn is also TOP TIER. The novel drew me in right from the start.

To me, despite being lost in the story one of the main drawbacks of this novel was the lack of inclusive characters and depiction of women.

The protagonists breasts are indeed described as 'humble ' twice (Shakira eat your heart out) and all women are praised for their beautiful porcelain skin and slender Curves. There are no characters of colour and no characters who aren't cishet- even creatures. I'm very hopeful for more diversity in volume 2, as it felt a bit jarring travelling in diverse places with a lack of diversity.

This was kindly gifted to me as part of a book tour for an honest review. Thank you!

This novel totally took me by surprise. I was compelled by the mix of satire Anam creates about technology and the relatable humanity of the novel right from the start.

It was fast paced, reflective and written with clear foreshadowing narrative that helped drive the plot forward.

The enigmatic Cyrus in this novel is a slow building perfect storm of a disaster waiting to happen and the pacing of this unravelling is absolutely perfect.

I feel like if the end of the novel wasn't brought so up-to-date I would have been able to distend my belief a little more, and thus brought it off-piste for me.

Thanks Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this novel for an honest review.

This book actually took me completely by surprise, in a good way! I don't normally like science fiction reads and dystopian literature can freak me out a little, so the intrigue factor has to be really high for me to choose to read a book like this - which it was.

I found the technologically reliant and mega-tracking not altogether fictional world compelling but horrifying, the narrator sensible and reasonable yet deranged and unreliable and the commentary on a capitalist society hard to ignore.

I flew threw this book, couldn't put it down and have no hesitation saying this was a
