Inspiring and wonderful!

I listened to this on audiobook and Elizabeth's voice is so soothing. Aside from her lovely voice, I really enjoyed this exploration of creative living. It made me realize ,although I never have considered myself a creative person because of seemingly lacking creative talent, that I can be creative even if what I create is not beautiful or a work of art that is masterful.

This was my first foray into historical romance and while the story itself was nothing groundbreaking, it was still an enjoyable book to read around Valentine's Day. I am a firm believer that romance novels often get a bad reputation because of overly sexualized covers. This book may appear sexy from the outside, but there was only one sex scene in the whole book. What you're not told from the cover is that it is more so a story of overcoming the pain of the past and finding a fulfilling future filled with love and personal growth.

Very powerful and necessary story. A gut wrenching and timely social commentary that many would benefit from reading.

This may look like it will be a sugary sweet book from the outside, but the inside is a whole lot heavier than what the book jacket and blurb led me to believe. I feel that a lot of young teens would benefit from reading this book if they're dealing with divorce, identity, and just coming to terms with some of the harsh realities of life. I highly enjoyed this book, but I do think the story itself felt a little scattered in the sense that although it tackles important issues it would have greatly benefitted from choosing one as the main focus.

This book was disturbing and infuriating. I thought it was perfect up until the last chapter. It is worth the read if you have a strong stomach, but I feel the main character was done a disservice in the final few pages. This could have been an incredible redemption story, but it instead turned out to be a psychological thriller in disguise. I do think the subject of the realities of foster homes was very powerful throughout the novel and made a bold statement about how the kids living in them deserve better.

As with all short story collections there were some I loved, some I thought were ok, and others I didn't particularly care for. Overall this was an enjoyable read to round out my black history month reading endeavors.

This was a super fun time! Thrilling cons, twists and turns, and heart stopping romance made this book hard to put down.

I never thought a book about the digestive system would compel me to read it all in one day. This book was fascinating, funny, and filled with flatulence! I was completely captivated from start to finish! My only complaint would have to be the footnotes , which although interesting, oftentimes interrupted the flow of the book for me.
