Blended
by Sharon M. Draper
This may look like it will be a sugary sweet book from the outside, but the inside is a whole lot heavier than what the book jacket and blurb led me to believe. I feel that a lot of young teens would benefit from reading this book if they're dealing with divorce, identity, and just coming to terms with some of the harsh realities of life. I highly enjoyed this book, but I do think the story itself felt a little scattered in the sense that although it tackles important issues it would have greatly benefitted from choosing one as the main focus.
