I LOVED this book. Normally I would complain about how much Leila annoys me. BUT she wasn't that bad. I actually had moments where I thought, wow she really is a great fit for Vlad. The boys were fantastic. I am super pumped to read the next series Night Rebel.
This storyline was solid. I really have no complaints. Only reason why it doesn't have 5 stars is because I reserve those for books that produce a massive emotional response and while I did smile and laugh at moments, it didn't hit that right spot for me. But it was till very good. Highly recommend.

I feel like there are two bigger story lines going on with this series. The one where Leo's mentor got away from Basha and Marcus and will pop up at any minute, and the one with the mad doctor and the hybrids on the island of horror. I am utterly invested into these storylines. Sadly this book does not work with either storyline. There is merely a brief mention and that's it. I understand and think it's great that Lynsay is letting us know what's going on back home while the major players are fighting the good fight, but I was less than interested in reading about the B team.
With that said, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed all of these characters in this story. I hope to see more Kira and Donny.
Scotty and Beth's story was very different. I was very pleased with the detailed backgrounds of them as individuals as well as their interactions leading up to the climax of their love story. They weren't annoying which is always a plus. The constant attacks on Beth did start to get old and I had figured out the culprit almost instantly however the motive was NOT what I had expected.
Overall it was a solid story. I'm happy with it. It's a nice rainy day read.

Hands down the best book in the series so far. Overall the storyline has picked up speed, intrigue, and adventure. I love the friendship and loyalty that Sara and Nicki have. I feel like Sara made solid decisions and took honorable action. There were some obvious developments but nothing that turned me off.
Thank glob for Ryder and Devin. I gave the first book in this series 2 stars. I couldn't get into it and thought this series was going to be a bust.
But then, Ryder comes along, she's badass and lovable. A bit hard headed but still very likable. Devin, another Harbor City billionaire but with a twist. He's humbled, hardworking, and sexy af.
They fit. The action storyline was solid. It's a good read.

I only give 5 stars if a book elicits a strong emotional response from me while reading. This book came so very close to that. Before I even made it 10 pages I was giddy.
I love everything about this love story. It could be the added fandom, or the fact that Carlos was probably the BEST lover out of all the men in the series. I mean it was HOT!!!
Mika was cute, sassy, forward, and dangerous. Her backstory was very True Crime Network.
The overall storyline was solid. I am sad to see that there is NOT another book after this. I mean HELLO Avery, you introduced TWO more members of the security team. One of which has a backstory that screams to be transformed. *sigh*
Also this book connects Carlos to Gabe in the Betting the Billionaire novella which was also very good.

I read the novella Darkest Assassin before reading this because that's the order that is suggested on Gina's website. In said novella (which I absolutely loved) we get a sneak peek at William and Sunny.
BASED on that small tidbit I had already decided I was going to HATE Sunny and was really reluctant about reading William's story. I thought she was annoying af and had no interest in leaning more about her. Add in the reviews saying that William deserved better and I was convinced that Gina had smoked payote and ruined a much anticipated story.
I am happy to report that I was wrong. I actually really really love Sunny. She has a duel personality so there will be moments where I could totes relate and others where I was like WOW she is just as messed up as William. But in a good way.
I think they fit good together. I appreciated how much emphasis on family this story had. Especially seeing William be so open and raw after reading Gillian's book. I got nervous towards the end because I feel like Gina could END the series with this story. BUT I know that there is a Novella coming out in December and so many other characters who need their stories told. So hopefully I was just a little paranoid with how some circumstances where wrapped up.

This was probably the worst book I have ever read in this series. Mommy Dearest was the ONLY saving grace. The rest was mundane. I literally couldn't deal. I usually knock back one of Lynsay's books in hours. This took me two days and a lot of stopping just to say "OMFG if there isn't something contributing to the overall storyline in this book then I'm going to be salty af that I dropped coins on this." Note I was 74% through the book BEFORE a well deserved detail was dropped. .
Elspbeth is just annoying to me. It's not her fault. Her crap childhood and mother are to blame for her quirks but still at no point did I ever think that I liked her or wanted to learn more about her.
Wyatt is pretty likable. What was taken from this couple was a bit shocking. Not to the level of Hans betraying Anna but still it was pretty shitty.
This is the second book that provides insight on the short staffed enforcers that Mortimer is trying to keep afloat while all the BIG DAWGS are dealing with the Island of Doctor Moreau. I appreciate Lynsay filling us in and I am really starting to feel all kinds of empathy for Mortimer's work load.
While I am obsessed with this series and would never suggest someone skip a book because there are always Easter Eggs to be found in even the most mind numbing text, I do feel that I could have skipped this particular story.

I am a serial series reader so I was excited that all these books are FREE on Kindle Unlimited. The reviews made it sound like it was much darker and dirtier than what it was. The author spent a lot of time describing background which I guess for someone with a better imagination could be helpful. But I wanted to get with the emotional and physical anguish and lust filled moments as quick as possible.
This was a solid read with a cliff hanger that is forcing me to continue on. I will admit I skipped a lot of interactions with minors character because of the extra descriptions (No I don't give af about the pool lighting)

This book was sooo much better than the first. SOOOOO much better. Fuck Elijah, who is Elijah, I don't want my girl Vi to EVER look at Elijah or the Radiant court ever again. Dem are some bitches over there.
My heart flutter so many times over the interaction between Violet and the Prince of Shadows. I want to hold him, and love him, and put him my pocket where he will be safe and loved forever.
And Cardi B!!!! I know that's who a particular character is fashioned after. I mean hello she has her legal name in the book. This book just had everything. Before reading it I thought okay this is solid I guess I could push through. But now I want to devour the next book. I purchased it within seconds of finishing the last page.
Highly addictive and is a must for any paranomal lover's bookshelf.

OMFG Bitches I screamed. This was the BEST book so far. It's filled with so many answers yet still leaves you in so much darkness. I am literally on the edge of my seat. I have so many questions. Where TF is Killian?!?!
Why can't all books come with playlists??
Vi's mama is so badass. PLEASE tell me that there is a movie series in contract. Fuck Elijah and the Radiant Court also Daphne however now I'm curious if there is more to explain her actions but until that shows any validity she can die.
This was what I wanted. Before starting this series there was a warning that it's an adult book for grown ass women. That this book right here is going to be dark and dirty. I did NOT get that with the first. The second got grey but this one, this one got dark and dirty and it was everything I needed.
I am still guilty for glossing over the Femme Fatales. However their interactions with the dragons put a smile on my face for sure. There are lots of laugh out loud moments. I am so sad that the next book is the finale one but I am grateful that I am LATE in discovering this series so that I have the pleasure of devouring this in days vs having to wait.
