This was a good read. I am in my memoir era tbh. It was interesting to learn about Paris and her life as all I really know is surface level. Reading about her experience in the troubled teen industry was devastating and it is inspiring to see her now advocating for the people who went through what she went through and trying to fight against the abuse in that industry. 

I liked this book, it was a fun read. I don’t have much to say. It was a romance novel and I think the couple is cute together and love each other but I wasn’t super invested. I think that the idea of the book was better than the actual book. I would still recommend, but it was kind of a slow read and the ending seemed very abrupt.

This was so good. It was interesting to see Hollywood through the perspective of a makeup artist because typically the books are through the views of actors or directors. I loved it and I’m a Loretta Darling stan. I will defend her until I die. She did what had to be done. This was written so well and was very entertaining and engaging. I couldn’t stop reading.

This ending was so unbelievably stupid. To begin, the main character was honestly just annoying. I am by no means defending Jamie because he sucks, but he deserved better than Autumn. She didn’t even like him and was just irritating throughout the book. Here are spoilers for the ending:

It was the worst one I’ve ever read. It all happened on the last fifteen pages where Finn and Autumn finally got together. (I was not rooting for them btw, Finn deserves better.) Finn just dies in a car crash for absolutely no reason. And then she just tries to kill herself??? and says that she will continue to try until she is successful but then it's revealed that she is pregnant and she knows Finn wouldn’t be happy with her if she killed herself while pregnant with their kid???

It was all so stupid and out of nowhere and unnecessary. I hated it. 

This was such a good book. (I’m sorry about the atrocious cover.) It was very well written and the characters are very dynamic. I think the author did a great job talking about homelessness, the foster system, and losing your parents at such a young age. I’m rooting for them and I loved seeing Zoey become more confident and secure in who she is an her friendships.

This was very sweet and cute. I love gay people, they are so fun. It was an easy and lighthearted read. I loved the main couple and thought they were great together. I’m a Mr. Kim hater.

This is going to be a boring review, but this book was good. It wasn’t necessarily the most engaging book but I did think it was good and it was very interesting to learn about the history of the alphabet. I also like how it went into detail with publishing, indexes, and how different languages came into play.

I did not like this that much. It was an interesting concept, however, the characters really irritated me. I understand that they were both going through a lot, but they blamed every other person in their life for their problems instead of accepting responsibility or trying to improve their life. It seemed like they didn’t really learn to improve, the author just had to wrap up the book. Honestly, I wasn’t really rooting for them to get together. I think they would’ve been better as friends. The ending of them getting together felt rushed and it didn’t really feel like they wanted to be together, it was just convenient. 

Maybe I’m just a misandrist instead of a feminist but I was just not impressed with the essays included in this book. They were overall very boring. Most of the the authors came across as not caring about feminism until it benefited them and nearly every single author did not once mention anything about intersectionality. There was one particular essay which was basically telling women it was their responsibility to make sure men view women as people instead of providing ways men can educate themselves. One author also said her feminist icon is JK Rowling? Which is an insane icon to have and honestly once I read that essay I gave up on trying to like the book.

This was a very interesting read. I am a romance fan. I always have been and always will be so it was very interesting to learn about the history and influence of romance novels. It talks about the evolution of the genre and how it is intrinsically tied to the view of women in society. It was a compelling read and brought up a lot of data and points I’ve never thought about before. Also I love this cover, it’s probably one of my favorite book covers.
