This one was a bit longer than the other volumes so I got a bit intimidated and put off reading it for weeks which I now totally regret! I always have so much fun reading these comics and this time was no different!

I usually reserve 2 stars for problematic or straight-up terrible reads, but I can't bring myself to 3 star this because I really did not like it! I love the colouring of this series but I don't like the artwork or the characters and after last volume, I thought I was starting to get the hang of everything, but this volume was so confusing! She lost her powers? how? when? I'm going to take a break from this series and I'm not sure that I'll be coming back to it. I like Spider-Gwen, I just don't like her comics.

I won't be commenting on or rating any of the books in this series. I want to stress that I am merely reading this because I grew up loving HP and still love the characters today. However, J K Rowling is hot garbage and I do take issue with her and her beliefs. Trans lives matter.

What a wild fucking ride. At this point, I barely know what to say. I didn't love this series by any means, and I can't ever see myself re-reading it. But, I do think that each book improved as I kept reading the trilogy and I did like Neil as a main character. Overall, the writing was pretty average and this is basically dumpster fire 2012 Tumblr torture porn but I'm a sucker for the found family trope, so overall I am glad, at least, that I can say that I've read this trilogy.

10/10. I'm speechless. I don't know how K Ancrum did it but she managed to write a perfect book.

Trigger Warnings: (sorry I didn't take notes, so these are from memory): alcohol and drug use, talk of parental death/s, violence, mention of suicide, discussion and mentions of homophobia (always challenged), sexual assault, assault, bullying underage/young parents, anxiety, panic attacks, childhood trauma (dealt with somewhat unhealthily)

Utterly pointless. You definitely don't need to read this to understand any of the other books in the shadowhunter world so please don't waste your time. (If you insist on reading it, make sure you read the last story after CoLS)
adventurous funny fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No

I had the urge to listen to an audiobook this afternoon and I've been meaning to re-read this again since I finished the series earlier this year, so I picked this up and devoured the audiobook in a few hours! This is one of my favourite stories and I love Artemis Fowl as a character so this was the perfect way for me to fill up a few extra hours.

I re-read this on audiobook in a couple of hours today and I really enjoyed it! I really enjoy the fairy politics & rules, they're so interesting! This was such a fun re-read, especially with the movie coming out later this year. Hopefully, I'll continue the series this time!

Also, I know a lot of people struggle with the Irish accent, but the audio is really clear and easy to understand.

Okay, I put these books off for a while because I thought I might be too old to enjoy them. I was wrong. Artemis Fowl is a 12 year old villainous genius.
I honestly had no idea what this book was about but I think that's the best way to go into these books. The only thing that one need know about these books is:
1. The main character is a villain 2. Captain Holly Short is not to be messed with and 3. Butler is a badass.
p.s I feel like Holly and Artemis are going to be a thing later on in the series.
p.p.s I would definitely recommend the audiobook, the accents are really good!

The impact Nico has on this series, and I expect on future books, too, is actually very impressive. He has a serious presence in this book, and I can't wait to watch him grow up!

This has definitely been my favourite book in the series so far. I loved getting to know the characters more in this book, and I loved the focus on environmental awareness and animal rights as well as crossbreeding because I know reading about these themes in this series as a kid had a huge impact on me as a kid. All in all, I love getting to know the characters better in this book and seeing Nico and Grover grow into themselves, going by this instalment, the next book is going to be fantastic!

This is one of my favourites in the series, you can really see the characters growing up. So much happens in this book, the characters go through so much - plot-wise and emotionally. We meet new people and we lose characters. I can't wait to reread book 5, it's been a long time!

(also Poseidon at the end with Paul gets me every time

Trigger Warnings: loss of a loved one (past), grief, high places/heights, fear of spiders, misogyny, anxiety, manipulation of children, depression, anxiety, dark/underground spaces, small spaces, physical fights

It's been weeks since I started this so I barely remember what happened or if I enjoyed it. All I know is that I hate how Irina is written and drawn.

“I was a thief too, I tell him, we both got corrupted.”

The only way I can think to describe this book is "interesting". This was a really fun way too look into the lives of a few people for a short amount of time and see how all these different people come together and what they have in common. It had an interesting ending that I don't totally believe but I think will hit perfectly with a lot of other readers!
I think I prefer Station Eleven over this one, but I will definitely still be picking up whatever Emily St. John Mandel writes next!
