They needed therapy not romance books
This whole book was miscommunication. It took me a while to even like most of the characters. He was an idiot but he wasn’t really wrong and she needed a whole lot of therapy.
She was faking orgasms and one night she actually came and he found out. That is what started the whole divorce thing. I kept reading thinking that there must be more to why they were having marital issues and there wasn’t much Except that she kept comparing everything to her shitty parents and their relationship.
The idea of men reading romance to be better partners is great. I love it and wish men in real life would take notes. Buuuuuut I didn’t like how this book was executed. The characters felt really unlikable for most of the book, especially Liv (her sister). She kept projecting and going on about how he was so awful. And then when they finally made up Liv started getting upset because her sister didn’t choose her??? I honestly think couples therapy (and individual therapy) would have been a much better plan for these two.
I probably would keeping reading the series, I really loved some of the side characters, but the next book is Liv and I don’t think I could tolerate her as a main character.

I didn’t like the start but I thought it would get better, and it did briefly. Some how they managed to fit almost everyone one of my most disliked tropes.
She’s got some not like other girls vibes, there is miscommunication, a certain trope at 75% and of course an accidental you know what. I liked some parts like Clay but over all it read like someone rewrote their old 2014 fanfic without getting rid of the bad parts. (this is not hate on fanfic just that particular not like other girls stuff) There is also daddy kink on like two pages which isn’t much but I still don’t like it.

This read like bullet points of plot. Like each point had been written separately and just put together without being rewritten all together. I also found it really annoying how the exact same things kept being repeated like him asking her to move to NY but also acknowledging that their daughter would hate it or her hiding everything important from him . The whole book just felt disjointed which was really disappointing because I loved the Edens series.

Just didn’t like the romance. It was a badly done friends to lovers. He reveals his feelings that he kept hidden until she was flirting with someone else and then she got mad (rightfully so) and then the rest is rushed I mostly liked the characters but there was definitely points that I didn’t.
