ITS NOT DARK ROMANCE IF HES JUST MISOGYNISTIC!
I don’t know if it actually gets dark or any better but so far he called both women he’s interacting with bitches. Only one seems to deserve it but still. I also disliked the FMC, she has to get this job to pay for her moms chemo but gives up crying at the first set back??
This was an arc but I could not

There are schemes, romance and politics. The world building is amazing. At the start you get a bit about the human world and what changed between ours and theirs (the appearance of hell). Hell is very different to what I thought it would be. The political set up and the way it’s divided is really interesting.
Sephina is an offering to hell. She is auctioned and taken as Aurels assistant and things go from there. There are plots from other sectors and danger in Aurels. Overall I really enjoyed it.

I love Cal. He has been my favourite of the brothers throughout the series. Don’t get me wrong, I do love a grumpy man but Cal and his sarcastic comments will always be better.
This book was a lot more serious at points than the others. Addiction is not just a passing comment but a constant. I really like how it was discussed and handled especially in Cal’s POVs.
Lana is great too, she did annoy me sometimes but I would have probably done the same thing in most cases except when it comes to her sister but that is a minor part of the book. Cami is amazing and probably the best character. She is adorable and great at hustling.
I love the ending, not just for Cal and Lana but how the series was wrapped up for everyone. Cami calling Cal dad almost made me cry. Their dad not getting anything made me so happy, how could he choose not to try with his own kids?? Good on grandpa for that one.

It’s cute and short. That said, I can’t stand her friends! Planning a girls weekend that includes her birthday and not telling her that their boyfriends are coming and inviting her ex?? And then making her share a bed with that ex because there are only 3 bedrooms?? I’m glad it worked out but they are terrible friends
