They needed therapy not romance books
This whole book was miscommunication. It took me a while to even like most of the characters. He was an idiot but he wasn’t really wrong and she needed a whole lot of therapy.
She was faking orgasms and one night she actually came and he found out. That is what started the whole divorce thing. I kept reading thinking that there must be more to why they were having marital issues and there wasn’t much Except that she kept comparing everything to her shitty parents and their relationship.
The idea of men reading romance to be better partners is great. I love it and wish men in real life would take notes. Buuuuuut I didn’t like how this book was executed. The characters felt really unlikable for most of the book, especially Liv (her sister). She kept projecting and going on about how he was so awful. And then when they finally made up Liv started getting upset because her sister didn’t choose her??? I honestly think couples therapy (and individual therapy) would have been a much better plan for these two.
I probably would keeping reading the series, I really loved some of the side characters, but the next book is Liv and I don’t think I could tolerate her as a main character.
