Thank you @prhaudio for the audiobook. This book reminds me the movie Elf and Hol and Elf. The book is way over the top with holiday shenanigans. Betty is hard to like, she was very shallow. It's fun as long as you keep in mind it's just a shallow holiday book.

I have forgotten how angsty Shen's romances are. I enjoyed the setting of this story in college with Grace , a girl that has some facial disfigurement and Wes, the campus had boy MMA fighter. I love the banter and dialogue between them and how they made each other become a better person.

Thank you @stmartinspress for a copy of this book. Ingrid, an Asian American working at a law firm and is vying to become a partner. Her job consumes her and she is being asked to take on more. As one of the few successful minority in the firm, she faces sexism and racial prejudice. This book was so well told and felt so realistic in a cutthroat firm.

The story made me cheer on Ingrid and wanting her to succeed despite all that is going against her.

A great YA romance and first love. I am not a big fan of romance where one person is already in a relationship so that knocked down this story a bit for me.

I do like the friendship Anna and Etienne develops and their banter. This book deals with heavy subjects like cancer which I didn't expect and did a great job of it.

Thank you @berkelyromance @prhaudio for a copy of the book. I love Chloe's Bergerman family series and always love how well she does tension and banter. I love the fake dating between Jamie and Beatrice and how their relationship developed. Chloe does a great job portraying characters with autism and the struggles with living and having relationships. And of course, the slow burn was totally worth the wait.

I enjoyed the dual POV and the narration of the story.

Thank you @avonbooks for a copy of Ship Wrecked which is book 3 of this series and can be read as a standalone but of course, you get a better context if you read them together.

I love how the book started with a hot sex scene and how they learned they will be costars together. I love the tension and how they became friends first in the story.

I felt the time jumps with the texts and the 6 year gap made the story feel disjointed. I love Maria and what a strong woman she is and standing up to what she believed.

Like many shared, I have mixed feelings about memoir. I enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Perry's life before he was casts as Chandler and how he got the role. This is a dark memoir mainly with Perry sharing his life time addiction to alcohol and drugs. I am shocked to learn how much he put his body through and still had a successful career as an actor.

In parts of the book, he comes off very entitled and very disrespectful to healthcare professionals that helped him. Not sure if it was meant to be sarcasm but it turned me off.

Thank you @celadonbooks for a copy of Locust Lane. The book grabbed my attention from the first chapter and I enjoyed how the story unfolded. The story is told in multiple POV and how the death of Eden impacted their life. I enjoyed the idea of all the lies in a perfect wealthy suburbia neighborhood and what seems perfect isn't that perfect.

Thank you @libro.fm @netgalley for a copy  of The Villa. I enjoyed the setting of a beautiful Italian villa that Chess and Emily spend the time to both write their books. I enjoyed the story within the story aspect and how it complicated Chess and Emily's relationship.

I enjoyed the 3 POV of Chess and Emily and Mari in the past. All 3 of the narrators did a great job. I wasn't a fan of the ending of the story but overall I enjoyed seeing how Chess and Emily's relationship played out.

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy this. I have mixed feelings about this one. What I enjoyed about it:
- diversity representation
- discussion on mental health
- Tariq's family

Here's what I struggled with:
- the book felt very repetitive with Paris lack of confidence (I know it was the point of his character)
- lack of romance and banter which I was expecting

I also felt Paris and his relationship with his parents was left unresolved in the story and left me wanting to see know what happens.
