Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing
by Matthew Perry
emotional
medium-paced
Like many shared, I have mixed feelings about memoir. I enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Perry's life before he was casts as Chandler and how he got the role. This is a dark memoir mainly with Perry sharing his life time addiction to alcohol and drugs. I am shocked to learn how much he put his body through and still had a successful career as an actor.
In parts of the book, he comes off very entitled and very disrespectful to healthcare professionals that helped him. Not sure if it was meant to be sarcasm but it turned me off.
