One of the more consistent story collections I've read. I really enjoyed the introduction to each story. As a writer myself, I found those particularly interesting, although I have heard some people find them annoying.
There are stories that fell flat for me, but those were fairly few and often on the shorter side, and my enjoyment of them was elevated by the introductions.

An interesting read.

I’m very familiar with the Norse Myth so I wasn’t sure how interesting this would be to me, but I really enjoyed it. Especially his retelling of Ragnarok.

An excellent little book with a lot of depth. I was still considering it days later.

According to this book, a lot of people have put things succinctly… pity this author wasn’t one of them.
I’m half joking. It’s a good read, but it does repeat itself a fair bit.

Nothing much happens in this volume. It’s a story that started before this volume and is to be continued after.

Very interesting story. I’d have liked to hear more about the author losing his faith. That was just mentioned and moved in from quite quickly.
