3.5 Stars. A cute and light read for the holidays.

There’s nothing quite like a good Nora Roberts. Honestly loved this book but think it had everything to do with the strong female character and her three pups.

It was thought provoking and deeply moving. Definitely a book I needed to sit with for some time before starting another. The story is of grief, hope, secrets and healing. While each character undergoes their own process of grief I imagined what I would do in certain situations and honestly I don’t know. My heart feels heavy yet full of hope and some sadness after reading. There is religious context and spirituality (Christianity) incorporated within the story.

From book #1 I have truly appreciated the way gender identity and sexuality are normalized and explained- never feeling forced into the narrative. The story of Jack and Jill is tragic yet hopeful always wanted to know what became of them once they walked through their door...now we know.

The appearance of a new type of titan surrounded in mystery and suspense. Enjoyed this storyline and found the artwork well done - especially regarding the new titan...And also Levi has a place in my heart

Beautiful memoir of resiliency. I will readily admit have little to no knowledge on Pakistan and Muslim culture. Samra provided a window into her world of being an Ahmadi Muslims and her journey and in discovering her queer identity. The story felt a bit detached as if she was reporting the life of another and I wonder if this is a trauma response. Which it very well be. At the end of her book, I feel as if I didn’t really get to know her. However, it did ignite a fire for me to understand and learn more of her culture, Islamic faith, and Queer Muslims’ experiences.
