If people don’t understand why letting the rich hold so much power then they need to read this graphic novel. I feel like if this were longer this could’ve gotten waaaaaaaay more fucked up than it already was.

This needed some extra rounds of editing, but otherwise I thought the story was fun and the mythology was easy to follow. I could totally see this being adapted into a cute animated film.

This need to be essential reading for anyone who lives in the United States because our government has brainwashed us to the point that people genuinely believe that everything is honky dory. No frills or sugar-coating. Straight facts (statistics and heavily researched) and great ideas for initiatives that should have been implemented by now but of course have not because the U.S. doesn't give a shit about taking care of their people.

This was freaking adorable and the artwork was so beautiful! I wish there was an epilogue (because I’m a sucker for a happily ever after), but this book is just such a beautiful representation of first love that I will let that slide.

If there wasn’t a cheating aspect to this book I would’ve given this a higher rating. I still really like this author’s writing style, and there were points of the book that really got me in the feels, but this one definitely doesn’t have as deep a hold on my heart as Last Night At The Telegraph Club.

I felt so many emotions when hearing Samra's story, but I'm glad that she got to tell it and happy that she is striving to make the world a better place for not only BIPOC queers, but also Muslim (and religious in general) queers.

I had previously read 'Love Warrior' and it is night and day in terms of the narrating between this book and that one (in the best way). It's absolutely inspiring to see Glennon come into her own, and this book creates hope for those who feel like they're barely finding themselves later in life. I really enjoyed that she weaved in parenting, social/political, and even religious topics that naturally and personally praise AND criticize. This is definitely a book that I will want to get as a physical copy for emotional support.

This is the book that everyone needs to read to understand how completely idiotic the concept of war is while also touching base on how the narrative can be completely controlled (in good and bad ways) by the government. I rank this in the leagues of The Hunger Games for sure.

Definitely one of the better iterations of the 'Romeo & Juliet' story with great insight into the dynamics of Palestinian-Israeli relations with a hopeful story we can all root for. My only complaint is that I wish this were a longer book.

One of the few books I kept from school (journalism course) and re-reading it definitely makes me want to keep it as a part of my collection. Capote's writing is so immersive that you feel like you're witnessing the events first-hand, while also being informative enough to teach the reader about the law and psychological theories of that time.
